seed question

I just got a seed from a bag, so I thought id try to grow it. I put in a damp folded up paper towel and put it in a dark place....i checked up on it after a day and it seems to have swelled and it definately cracked, but there is no taproot. what i wanted to kno is if this seed will eventuall show a taproot? shuld i chuck it or keep it in the paper towel? or drop it in soil? please help

Keep towel moist and wait a day or 2...root will show just be patient...

She will sprout faster if you keep it in the dark like you are doing and also keep it warm and slightly humid...
