Seed question

So I read that if a female plant flowers long enough it will pollinate itself some stress words were used. How can one get buds and seeds this way. Would harvesting the buds one by one and leaving a couple bud sites alone stress the plant enough to self pollinate the remaining bud or would it not have enough time to produce seeds. I havent flowered my plant yet but was wondering.

You're describing rodelization. The plant may produce pollen if allowed to flower long enough. To make seeds with this method you would need a second plant to pollinate as the plant producing the pollen is already past its prime. If you're looking to make some seeds, there are easier and more reliable methods.

Tru but I want to smoke this plant and take its genetics. I guess I can let it veg a while and do some clones. If it produces the nanners as a last ditch effort at reproduction why can't it pollinate itself if that's what its doing.

You can harvest the bulk of the plant and leave some behind to see if it will produce pollen. By the time a plant starts to produce pollen from old age it probably won't have any receptive pistils left to pollinate. You need healthy white pistils to pollinate. After pollination, it takes 4-6 weeks for the seeds to form and mature. Taking a cutting would work assuming the cutting was early in the flowering cycle when the original plant started producing pollen, but if you're taking cuttings you could just use some colloidal silver or STS to produce pollen and self the cutting.
