now we collect the pollen. by watching the pods i can determine what they look like just before they pop. i watch several pop first then note the size and shape just prior. i now know when to harvest my pods. i try to get them just before they open. this way i get the most pollen i can out of the pod. i will pluck them as they ripen and drop them into a glass jar. the pods will be taken inside and left out in the open to allow the pollen to fully dry. i lace then on a paper plate on a dark shelf to dry. then they can be crumbled and the pollen can be sifted out. i usually just dump it all back in the jar and lightly stir it to get it to crumble and release the pollen.

very helpul thread im new to this im just about to harvest my first grow so im gettin ideas for my second. how does your plant have so many colors and crystals is it because of the strain cause im growing northern lights and some super silver haze and there a few weeks out and there nothing like your plant. can you help me with understanding why?

hey Fdd, i got a question for ya, not sure if it's been answered yet...i'm a long time indoor grower but new to making my own seeds, i'm not interested in creating my own strain, but just producing a bunch of seeds that i can plant everywhere and give to friends...so, say i have 1 feminized white dwarf, 1 feminized easy ryder and 1 regular female diesel ryder, and i pollinate them with pollen from a diesel ryder male, will all those seeds be 100% auto?? i think so, right...i've just heard most folks say they'll be auto but some think that doin this with the feminized female may cause hermies...i don't really care, i just want a shit load of seeds that autoflower...thanks for any help...

ok well im 46 days into flowering the strain is northern lights i just did my first flushing 2 days ago with tap water with a ph of 6.5 and the temp in the area of growth is 72* f. i flushed with double the amount of water i would normally use for feeding and such. can you give me any advice ?strain, flushing and cooler temps.

I have to say, this is the perfect thread for the topic. Very informative. I'm trying to grow a bunch of seeds from a mystery strain. The seeds were pretty old by my assumptions.
Anyways, now that I know how to properly harvest the pollen, if I get any males I will use them to produce more seeds. I'd rather have a buttload of seeds than need to clone. I love trying different things, and using clones wouldn't be beneficial to my cause.
