I got through the 420 sales without buying too much... just a pack of take out, and white truffle s1 by fresh coast, and peanut butter breath bx by thug pug, but I paid less for those three packs than I have for one, so that's an improvement. I'm almost done collecting for now, I swear lol I just need to acquire rainbow belts 3.0 and hellraiser og by archive, and some rootbeer freeze by freeborn and I can stop altogether, I'm sure of it. Those packs will complete the collection for base strains to start making my own seeds along with the thousands of dollars worth of other gear I have in the vault lol or at least that's what I keep telling myself...

I have the same problem with seeds, as I do guitar effects pedals. Ive probably got 15-$20,000 worth of effects pedals. Ive been collecting them since 1972. On guitar forums they call it Gear Acquisition Syndrome. AKA GAS.
I guess for seeds it could be called SAS. Seed Acquisition Syndrome.

Ive also got guitar amplifier, and guitar acquisition syndrome, but it all goes under GAS.
I also have a sickness for New Old Stock Guitar Amplifier Tubes. Which can also be insanely expensive. Ive got $2000 worth of tubes in one of my amplifiers. And backups of the same tubes.

I forgot I had a pack of Hellraiser until you mentioned this. I just checked and you can get them direct from Archive. They are still listed as in stock.

I have purchased a few thousand worth a seeds. Most were back between 2008 and 2012. Pop 2 or 3 from each pack and get 100% germ rate. Toss what I don’t like and clone the ones I like. It may be quite awhile before getting back to these if ever. After 12 years the viability rate has gone downhill. I worried about condensation in the fridge, so kept them in sealed jars in a safe in a dark room about 67 degrees. Regardless of how they are stored, the success rate will probably go down as each year passes. Try not to over indulge in buying, date the pack so you know when you purchased, use them sooner than later. Making your own can also be exciting just to see what you get.

I made seeds years ago and used some of them to make more with some new strains this last Christmas. Started 5 of the new seeds and 4 have shown to be female and 1 male. Can’t wait for the outcome, just finished week 1 of 12/12.

Get some silicone Gel Packs. Put your seeds in double bagged freezer bags, and put those in tupperware. I put 6-8 silicone packs in with the seeds, and then put more outside of the bags in the tupperware. Ive got seeds that are 20 years old stored like this in the fridge, and get damn close to 100% germination. When the silicone packs need changing, they turn colors, and to boot you can get them that are reusable. 50 of them costs less than $15.

You can also use sealed jars. Just put the freezer bags in the jars, and load it up with silicone packs.

Hi I’m Kami,
I also suffer from SAS. I’ve been SASie as long as I can remember.

For real though, I can’t stop buying packs. I have enough seeds for a lifetime already but that means nothing.
