How long have they been germinating?
Exactly how long of a taproot is showing?
You must understand, without specifics of a visual frame of reference....
An accurate answer will be quite a hard to thing to supply, given the vague and limited data set you supplied.

Having said that, just plant th damn things.
Nature will do the rest.
Kay cera cera, eh?

Plant them just below the soil like 1/4 inch taproot down, wear clean gloves or use clean tweezers be extra gentle.
Personally I have had great success with wet paper towel in bag.

I wait 24 hours then check every six hours to see if I see a taproot at all protruding from any seed.

I use my tweezers to gently place in the hole in my Rock wool.

I really just drop it on the surface and role it so the tap root is pointed down into a pre-made hole.

Hole size- for soil- Pencil size 1/4" deep hole, and cover gently with soil or pinch rock wool gently to close hole.

I have a 100% germ rate on my first 21 plants using the same method.

I just move them early so the seed body is their to protect the sprout.

It works for me, Like many I start in a shot glass of water and wait to see it sink I will start there up to 24 hours before I give up on a seed.

So i stick a pencil down in the soil and 1/4 of the pencil is the depth i should bury the seed?

Try to use gloves or be gentle, not a necessity just a precaution.
The taproot faces down, the bean faces up.
You want the Taproot just like Zengi Said 1/4 into the soil...
Dont want to give it too long a journey to break surface, just enough to provide it with the environment required to take hold.
