Also if you would like to post a picture online, "cleaning" it of any exif data is as simple as opening it in "MS Paint" and saving it as a new file then posting the image*edit*(the image saved from Paint not the original). Google that also :P.

I am legal in my state also. I take percasions at home. Even though I have a small operation I use camera's on noninternet computer. Very titly build room with renforced walls so noone can get in very easy at all. If someone wants to take the time and chance of being caught on camera for 12 plants they are looking to serve time. I will procecute with out hesitaion. I still don't put addresses and # on anything on the net and I never use a webcam because they can turn that on and watch u without u knowing is how I feel. Just think smart you will be good to go.

Very thoughtful reply, I think legal grows are at a risk when they think of only the law as being a threat

What exactly does this mean- "Photo manipulation software sometimes fails to update the embedded thumbnail after an editing operation, possibly causing the user to inadvertently publish compromising information"
Lets say you take a picture with your face in it. Then you edit your face out for security purposes. If there is an embedded thumbnail (a small pic) certain software does not update it so your face would still be in that small thumbnail contained as part of the picture.
