Yikes! That's not good. Sorry to hear that. Moving an MJ plant that's planted in the ground is very difficult to pull off. Try to get all the roots without disturbing them at all....gonna be tough, good luck!

so what size of pot should i get? there is four of them about 6x6 with lots of colas the other four that got ganked had some huge colas with still a month to go what a a horrible morning

Sounds like you're gonna need those 1/2 barrels. Or maybe cut some 55 gal barrels in half. Outdoor 6' x6'? They gotta have ONE HELL of a root structure!!!!!
Never transplanted MJ, but I have transplanted Palm trees before. Just try and get as much of the rootball as you can save. They'll go into shock, and slow or stop growth for a bit. But you ought to be OK. Feed 'em some high P food for root development.

Yeah man, your gonna need to go down a couple feet and have a pretty tall ceiling in the room you put them in. I don't think eight feet will do it.

my buddy just dug up six large budding plants about three weeks ago. He didnt have a choice but to cut through a good portion of the roots. Somehow they didnt get stunted and are doing good, so I would say yours have a pretty good chance of making it also.
I dont see why you wouldnt want to put them on 12/12. There already flowering. No sense revegging them

thanks but no danks

i saw someone say when your transplanting to estimate a % of how many roots you lost, and take of the same & of branches (hopefully you have some without bud)

i think it may have been veggie gardener who said that so credits to him

can you please explain this better? I dont get it

gonna start digging in a few minutes

thank you all who responded
wish me luck I'll need it !

I'll post there progress every day to keep you all informed

He wants you to cover the soil top with a tarp (I think). I'd use some mulch, but thats just me. Or maybe he said to wrap the rootball in a tarp to prevent drying out 'til you find a suitable container??

well everyone I woke up this morning after digging about 4 grave size holes then moving the girls inside,I see NO signs of stress,no wilting nothing
the girls look absolutey flawless .....just TLC and dig some graves to avoid tampering with too many roots

them mother f ers wont get these girls .......wooo woooo

You knocked two birds down with one stone, really. You got your plants inside safe from rippers, and you already have a few grave holes dug. Put a gravestone over them saying "RIPPER ONE, RIPPER TWO", etc, so when they come back they will see you already dug them nice resting places. Now, grab your .410......
