Who do you definately NOT tell?
Who gets to visit your garden?

Ordering supplies, seeds or even herb off the net?
What are the technologies being used to track the average personal (or professional) guerrilla growers?
Is it safe to talk on cell phones about growing?

I'm in a debate with my girlfriend over the relative safeness vs. potential consequences of discussing our grow via cell phone. I think it may be a cause for concern whereas she believes it to be completely harmless.

Anyone have bad experiences with information leaks?

Regarding safety issues like the ones u stated the ones i take into serious consideration are:
Not talking socially about my hobby, appart from that its all good....i have no probs with huge electricity bills triggering the cops, no probs with orders (seeds or any kind), no probs with websurf and as far as i know according to the law, even if the cops drop by, as long as u dont show signs of comercial activities related to cannabis selling or buying u get away with a slap on the wrist...

it all depends where in the world you live. I live in TIJUANA, MEXICO and if i got caught over here id be fucked. rather be caught in US then in MEXICO

Don't blame you mate... I've seen footage of the jails in Mexico. But aren't the police corrupt? You may well have an angle there if you grow big enough, hell they'll probably make you mayor.

This thread can do one anyway, i'm not giving out my secrets to anybody. I have years of experience gained at the University Of Life (kids homes and prison), I've got a doctorate with a distinction. To just give it away would be a crime.

Wow..sorry to hear you spent any time in prison...don't know what they're like over there but I work in one here and it's a sad boring humiliating monotonous life.

LOL. Exactly the same here. Luckily, over here they're quite light on sentencing. Also there's t.v.'s in the cells now. The jails over here have calmed down a lot, that's one thing I'll give the labour Government credit for. Violence, drug mis-use and suicides have dropped since the new guidelines were introduced. Jails easy over here, the only people that want to rob you are smackheads (heroin abusers), and crackheads. That's only if you don't look like you'll put up a fight. it's as you said, the monotony, the boredom...

one thing jail does teach you is that there is never any point in feeling sorry for yourself. Shit happens...

oh and the food, I forgot to mention the food. If I had to eat that dull, over starched, over cooked, pitiful excuse they call nutrition every day I'd be suicidal within the first week.

I voted option 2, me and close CLOSE friends. But damn it I wish I could vote me and my plants. A couple of nice guys got me started with my grow but then I learned that they were telling half of everybody they knew oh Chalcy's growing now.

Just because of that I'm going to have to stop. They seem to think it's okay to tell anybody that they trust about their own grows and mine. I don't buy into that. You tell people you trust then they tell people they trust then they tell people they trust and pretty soon you don't know what kinds of narks, goons and other lowlifes know. Stupid.

I have three close friends that know. A few others know too, but they are all growers who I exchange cuttings with. We are all legal med growers anyway, but some of us have to keep the hobby quiet for business and or social reasons.

I hope to grow legally once I move to CA (for law school, ironic isn't it). Anyways I plan to tell everyone that I stopped growing after this harvest. I'm just too paranoid, not really of the cops but of raiders who think I have lots of weed and money.

yea TJ jails suck. the cops over here are currupt ass hell ALL OF THEM! they are the ones stealing and beating people. its abuse of power. coca seeds? coca is really not grow in mexico. thats columbia.

i told a few friends and the person who gave me some of the seeds. But have decided to lie to anyone that seems to ask me about it and say... i was doing it then they all became Males and decided it was just too much work for it all to end up like that. Then that person says they understand and wouldnt blame me for stopping and thats the end of that : )

as far as cell phones & internet go... im not sure. I mean EVERYTHING gets recorded somewhere. Ive heard stories about the dea being able to get text messages and rumor that every phone conversation is recorded somewhere. but i dont think that means that there is someone listening to every conversation. As far as the internet goes who knows... its scary to think about

but in the end i think this is 1 hobby thats better left a secret. I live in GA and they dont mess around here.

If you're only growing a couple of plants you have no real fear of robbery. Not even a crack head would stoop that low. All phone calls are recorded... that is SOME paranoid shit... if that was the case thousands of people would have been convicted after the police went through phone records. Your call record is recorded, not the conversation. THEY probably could do all the things you are paranoid about, but imagine how much it would COST to record and store every single conversation. I bet you believe the X Files was a factual programme.
