My buddy built a door. You cannot tell there is a room behind it. When you open the door, it appears as a closet. Once you remove the shelves, you are able to gain access to behind the closet and wala! Secret 20x20 grow room.

i tell him to wire in a electromagnetic lock to it something 350lbs or higher .............wire it directly to one breaker that way only way in is to shut the breaker off then the door will open

something like that a cop would never think off and anyone he would show it too would not know that is the first step to opening it ........so if they said something to cops they come back and look like idiot does not open up (to go in they need special warrant to break down the wall)
 
Hi. I have a closet with a 72"x72" doorway. I saw an ad on craigslist for for 3 handmade cherry bookcases each 31"x12"x84" I was hoping to place these in front on the closet doorway and put one on a hinge or something. Any suggestions,

ok these are going to be the walls too.........that first bookshelf is permit fixed and does not move
the 2nd one is going to be fun .....i got a idea but i am not sure if they have something to do it ........first the 2nd book shelf needs to slide over 2 inches locking into a pivot point allowing the shelf to swing on a pole like a door
the 3rd bookshelf needs to slide over 14 to 16 inches (that can be done with a simple glide bracket like in desk drawls) but that gives the 2nd book shelf the 2 inches to move away from the first one and enough room for it to open up and not leave marks

u might need to build a 2 inch stand that the shelves sit on to hide the metal work and to keep off floor so no marks .........the issuse will be light leaks from the shelves not fully shutting .........u might think of using 4 strong magnets to hold the shelves together (u would need to remove 2 of them to access the area) and on the back side using some foam to make a 3/4 inch overlapping so when u close it they over lap the seams blocking light

only other issue now is going to be venting in .........but if u do the stand idea u can increase it to 4 or 6 inches and make it look like venting for the house (just make sure u make a mesh block in the ducting to block a camera from getting feed down to look)
