Hi I run a 600w hps in a 4x4 tent. Currently I have 5 girls in it that are on average 3ft tall in 5 gallon grow bags. the plants are topped and very bushy making the canopy very thick. There 2 1/2 weeks into flowering so still stretching. I have them in a circle leaving the middle of my tent open to allow the light to get lower branches(i spin them a 1/4 turn every day to allow all sides to get that extra light) but my plan is to buy a led pannel and lay it up side down in the center on my tent. do you guys think this will help at all or have any other ideas? My other idea was to upgrade to a 1k watt light. Would that help? Thanks:weed:

Sounds like you are running a vertical bare bulb setup. I really think laying an LED panel on the floor would be a HUGE waste of money. I would run that 600w horizontally in an air cooled hood and get some CFL's or T5's and run the around the outside of your plants.

I wish I could post pics but my phone wont let me since the hack... the canopy covers there whole size of the tent so I wasnt sure how id mount side lighting. Theres no room between the tent walls and the plant. My circle of open spare in the middle is really small and shrinking daily. No joke its as thick as my last run and that was 16 untopped plants in 3 gal bags. Any ideas? Thanks
