Second grow - plans for the near future

Dear diary...I mean hello, rolliup :) Almost a year ago, I grew this:
https://www.rollitup.org/t/auto-ww-isnt-growing.781808/page-2
For reasons beyond human comprehention I was unable to grow for a while, but soon I'll be moving in with my gf. So, I'll be able to grow again! I'll move to the "Grow journal" area as soon as I'll start the actual grow.
For now I'll be bumping this thread with questions from time to time.

So, my first question is - 12/12 or auto?
My first plant was an auto and it was fun and easy. I'd leave the lights on for 24/7 and would only occasionally take the plant out of the box to "breath" for a coulpe of hours every day or two. But I also had very little space in the grow box and didn't want to complicate things. This time I'll also go for a stealth growbox of maybe 1m*.6m*.4m(3'*2'*1.5'), maybe a little bigger. I'll use CFLs - they seem to work fine and produce little heat. And this time I want to at least LST and maybe even SOG it(with topping, trimming the bottom leaves and such). So maybe 12/12 might suite this better?

Second question - soil or coco/coco+perilite?
Again - first time I did it with just regular soil and VERY BASIC nutriens. Again all was well, but soil is kinda messy and I had a few fruit flies spawn in on me, had to cover the top of the soil with sand - which actully helped!
Now I read a lot of positive about coco and thinking of maybe trying it. Is it as easy to grow in or is it more complicated than soil?

And third and final - nutriens!
My final dry yield after first grow was - ~15gram, so like 1/2 oz. I think it coul have been a lot better have I used good nutes. The ONLY thing, that I used for the entire grow was some organic seaweed 15-8-10 or something like that. This time I'd like to at least use 2 different ones for veg and flower. So, shoud I just take one like 5-3-2 and another like 1-3-3? Will it work?

*almost total noob here

50/50 coco and perlite for faster and bigger yields. Soil for tastier buds. Coco comes with salt so u have to flush that out with hot water first. And you have to apply nutes alot quicker too about a week after she sprouts cus coco has nothing in it for the plant to live long. In coco your more in control of what goes in.
