Hey guys my microscope has broken any good recommendations to check trichomes?

My recommendation is to not look at them, but look at the overall plant. Wait for the calyxes to swell, the hairs will recede into them.

Look into it, there’s better descriptions than I can give. You start to get a feel for it, and can tell from a mile away when they’re ready. Also, post a better picture. Can’t really tell much when I zoom in, but they appea to have plants of white hairs.

No special devices are needed. You can just look at them with your eyes, like that one person said. I do recommend waiting a week after the day you think that they are ready, though.

King Dude made a good point that I forgot to mention. Typically, especially with new growers, they almost always harvest early.

Spend $10 on a jeweler's loupe. Minor cost when harvesting a half pound.

Or if you have a good phone like an iPhone Pro, take a pic and zoom on it.
