Second CFL Foot Locker Grow -Indica-

Planted 5 seeds from a particular bag of some super nice indica on July 17th, 4 of which took root.

July 28, Only 2 sets of leaves on each so far, sprouts are a bit too far from the lights, causing them to lean and grow way too tall. Going to transplant into 16oz plastic cups asap and continue growing from there until signs of sex are shown. Plan to grow single plant under 3 CFLs until I get a 4th installed. Bi-watering feeding. Possibly scrog/topping combo (not sure yet, as I've never done it before).

Will update with pic shortly, feel free to post here

Hey bro, nice to see Olga produced a nice little stash from your last grow. Look forward to seeing how this one turns out for you. Do you have some books or cds or something you can use to lift the plants up closer to the light so that they don't stretch and lean too much on ya? As always, I'll be checking in from time to time.

Happy growing!

Transplanted them all, went somewhat successful. Put as much soil as I could around the stem to help prop them up but they're still too lanky to stay up. Hoping that they'll take hold and start standing on their own soon.

Lights are at a reasonable distance, hopefully close enough. Just time to start crossing my fingers and wait, I suppose lol. Question, though. When should I start feeding them? They're about 1 and a half weeks old right now. 4 weeks maybe?

July 30th, 13 days into veg, almost 2 weeks.

Everything is looking great. I might veg a little longer than usual this time to ensure that the single plant I end up with its nice and beefy. That's really all for my update though, just lettin em grow :)

What a difference two days makes. They look considerably better on the 30th than they did on the 28th ... probably just a little shock from the transplant. You mentioned when to give the first feeding. I typically don't do my first VERY MILD feeding until 3 - 4 weeks. I give about a quarter dose of what is recommended on the manufacturer's label, sometimes a little less. As the plants get older I increase, but still don't try to overdo it.

Lookin' good man!

Been a while since I've updated. I'm on day 20, I believe, of 18/6 lighting. Hugely noticeable growth day after day. Not sure how long I'm going to let them veg, but I'll be throwing them into 12/12 before too long. They all look very healthy, no droopy/dried/burnt parts yet and outstanding overnight growth.

Anyways, I've been taking pics nearly daily and will try to get a timeline of pics going on at the end of this grow. For now, I give you the past 4 days of growth (including today)

Nothin major happened, don't worry. Just running into a lot of problems and stress along the way both inside and out of my box. Last night had an incident with the light rig breaking off the string and falling into my plants, I had loaded this page in hopes of giving an update when that happened, so yeah lol.

Anyways. I'm having trouble with my plants all being way too tall and I can't raise my lights much more. This is due to the fact I couldn't get lights close enough to them when they were just sprouting. I'm in hopes they'll start showing sex within the next week, though and I can get my main one transplanted and bend her over.

Other than all of that, they're looking very well. Especially as compared to my last grow where I used smaller cups to veg/sex in. Very large, broad leaves, certainly heavy indica (Which is what I assumed from smoking it and collecting the seeds). Lower leaves are dying out fairly quickly, but I'm not that concerned. There's a slight possibility I might try to lollipop the main girl once she's picked out, as last grow the main cola was the only portion that really got any thickness/crystals. I'm just unsure of whether this method is truly worth while or if it would cause more harm than good.

Anyways, peace, love and happy growing and smoking.
Oh and happy birthday to me lol

August 20 update, 34/10.

One male, one snapped stem, one midget plant and one of which I'm putting all hope into being a female.

I'll be quite upset if it doesn't turn out, but considering the only plant I have left with any hope is showing no preflowers in relation to growth to the male, I'd guess that it will be a girl.

The 'midget' plant is strange, no idea whether it will be male or female, but it's very small, leaves are thin, very short. I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be the only female.
The snapped stem plant is just obscenely tall (which is why it snapped) I have it propped against the side of my box as to not let it fall over, again, I hope this doesn't end up being the female.

Anyways. I'm very ready to get a female transplanted and get to growin buds. I'm behind schedule from my last grow, but crossing my fingers that some pistils will pop within the next day or 2.

Keep hope alive bro'. A lot of times you won't see any sex anywhere from 14 - 21 days after flipping the lights. Shit, the Fruitylicious girl from my current grow (may she rest in peace) never really did show any flowers like my Satori did/is and she was 4 days older than my Satori so ... some strains may just take longer to show sex. The only reason I knew Fruity was a girl was because I purchased feminized seeds! LOL! Hell, she was 4 weeks and 5 days flowering before she died and, to me, she didn't really "look" like a girl should look at that stage of flowering! I'm going to try her again though, maybe it was just that particular phenotype. Anyways ... hang in there bro' I'm hoping you have at least one girl too!

Aug 21st update, 11 days into flowering.

It's taken a bit of detective work, but the one plant I had put all my hopes into seems to have a tiny female preflower growing. I'll be monitoring it closely until the soil is dry enough to safely transplant.

This is what I'm working with now. Have only spotted one female flower, but it's grown in size substantially overnight. The other 2 plants are just chilling by my window for now. Sort of in hopes that they'll stay alive and just be nice window plants until I possibly need them to replace the current female. Either way, not too worried about em. They can just sit there and look pretty til they die for all I care lol.

Probably going to start feeding my main female at next watering, she took hold of the transplant with no problems so she should be able to handle a little food.
At what point should I stop giving her nutes in flowering? Maybe 2-4 weeks before harvest?

Your girl is looking great man, she really got moving after you flipped the lights!! You're not going to bother to sex the others at this time?

Hey man,

Just touching base to see how your girl is coming along. Hoping all is well.
She's comin along. Haven't had much of a chance to really give an update, but here we go.

Just finished light cycle of day 50/25, buds are sparse at this point, but nodes are tightly spaced. I've been lollipopping it to an extent, not really sure how far up I should pluck but I'm feeling it out. Feeding every other watering, using rain water when available (crossing my fingers for some more hurricanes to travel inland towards me). My biggest problem with my girl, though, is the fact that she's stretched so tall. She's currently pressed up against the side of the box because of her height and me having to bend her over. Maybe I can continue bending backwards and make the stem loop itself?

Anyways, unless I calculated wrong, I'm looking at an early October harvest, which is not great for me, as I have to travel 12 hours and stay with relatives around the exact same time... sooooo, shit. No idea what to do. It'd be great if I could just cut her down and put the trimmed buds in the freezer til I get back and can dry/cure them properly lol

But I'm out, peace and pics.

Mini update.

She's growing and looking just fine, just very sparce on bud growth.

Not sure what the problem is, but everything else such as the stem and leaves are bigger than I've ever gotten before. I have the typical flowering up the stem going on but they just aren't fattening up in the least. LOTS of pistils per bud site, just no progress.

Anyways, that was my mini update, no pics today. Camera flash = no good on migraine

Take er easy
