I REALLY liked the Costa Ricans for a traditional cube, but found a bit of restless leg syndrome on them. 5 hour trip on 3g, but in waves... every time I thought I was done tripping... FOOM! TRIBBIN BALLS! Watched MicroCosmos, HIGHLY reccomended movie for trippin! Thin stems, caps about a half dollar in size, 4 flushes on Horse Poo.

Next choice would be Penis Envy Uncut. Good producer and a bit less leg noise than the Ricans. Also ran the APE, but they were deformed and didn't really flush all that well.

B+ were SOLID producers and your standard cube. If you're going for bunches to share around, and you don't care about eating a meal (my gag reflex gets in the way) or getting as potent as you can get, go for these and the Ricans. No one will be disapointed, especially if you dose fresh ones.

If you only trip a few times a year however, I'd suggest getting into woodlovers. SOOOO much easier than cubes and pans, and way more potent. Harvest once a year with minimal upkeep and store em in the freezer. Plus, you don't have to eat a damn meal to trip... worst part about cubes IMO is eating 3-4g whether fresh or not. 1-1.5g of woodlovers does the trick and not nearly as much worry about sterility and contamination once you get the mycelium going. Can use open air to colonize the woodchips, only watering once a week, and once you have chips colonized, can exponentially increase the amount of chips with ease.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

I grew PES Hawaiians with great success. Very vigorous, easy and potent.

I'm prepping my Azurescens bed for Fall right now. Less bullshit and easy as shit to grow...if you live in the PNW.

Yeh, I'm in the... ANE? (if it's not already a term, I'm gonna coin that shit son) and I think we get just a bit more frosts early on than you do in the PNW, so still easy as hell, but gotta watch the weather and cut early if one is coming. Had some smaller flushes get busted on by Jack Frost last year.

Great choices SH93, don't forget to add your TEK to the posts! I usually go WBS->HPOO as I have a ready supply of manure for my Giant Pumpkin patch

Oh, and to get rid of :spew:, dry, chop the shit out of em with the biggest kitchen knife you got, then just chuck a mouthfull/handfull, swig some gatorade and swallow! Nothing like a freshie, but damn... get sick of forcing em down.

Teas are really nice as well with a bit of honey. Faster onset but shorter duration. I like these when I'm trying to squeeze a trip into an otherwise busy weekend with housework and such. If I got the whole weekend to blow, NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!!!! then bout 30 mins later, NOM NOM NOM!!!

MAN! We need the psychedellic smileys that Shroomery got, they're the shit!

i isolated about 16 different rizomorphic strains from a B+ spore print on agar, and didn't notice any difference between the different strains, do you people really think theres really a difference between different varieties of cubensis. i kind of think its a way for the vendors to sell more spores.

im in the MGL (midwest great lakes) just coined it

Difference in the physical aspects of the fruit and the characteristics of the growth and growth patterns of the organism? yes, most certainly, I have grown maybe a dozen different varieties of p. cubensis and they are all quite different. As for the high? I have never found even the slightest bit of difference one from another in potency or mental affect. I hear from trusted friends that some are more difficult on the body and I believe that but the romance of marijuana has spilled over onto mushrooms.

People attribute "more visuals", "more body", "more introspection", "more stony" on mushrooms that have at the very most 4 different psychoactive chemicals in them and I don't think that there are any attenuators or modifier chemicals in this species that would alter the effect of the 4. So what you have is two chemicals that are related so closely that they become the same one in the body - one of them being largely destroyed in the process of drying. You have a chemical that is exceedingly rare and that I for one have never noticed a difference between it (what ever it is) an the other more commone two, and then you have a final chemical that feels rather speedy and a bit uncomfortable. With those four, it seems doubtful you would get much of a variety of experience as one might from the dozen different chemicals in pot.

I agree that the physical characteristics are different, but deep down a cube is a cube. I do believe that the other species (panaeolus, cyanescens, azurescens, galindoi) have very different effects than cubes, but I don't know if this is due to potency, a different combination of active ingredients or just plain I like to think they're different? Not really a scientist like canndo, I just really fly by the seat of my pants so take my opinions with a grain of salt :)
