Searching for new moms

I had 6 MLK4 clones rooted with no one to give them away to, so I went ahead and threw them in the raised bed. I don't plan on babying them through a transition to outdoors. They were cloning under CFL's on 24hr light. I buried them up to the top set of leaves. It'll be cool and cloudy for the next couple of days, so hopefully they adjust quickly. I Imagine they'll freak out with the change in light schedule.

Can you find the clones? The plant at upper right is a volunteer that popped up a few weeks back. Hopefully it makes something interesting.

The pheno hunt sprouts were growing out of control so I trimmed them way back and took off all the fully developed fan leaves a week ago. I cant believe how quickly theyve bounced back. Now theyre turning into dense little bushes.

These are some newly rooted cuttings I got from a friend. On the left are Orange Zkittles Banana Punch x Wilson from Masonic. On the right are WB1 x Landrace Kush, a cross I made off of my WB1 mother. I'm excited to see how these do.

i hacve seen one
This is kind of interesting. As the veg plants get tall enough, I've been taking the tops for clones. Swiss Cheese #1, the only survivor, has three growing shoots at each node. I've heard of people having it, but it's the first time I've ever seen it.

i have only had one plant in my garden do that and it had some solid sized colas because of it! nice little duplication there im really curious as to wondering if cloning helped that process

The seedlings are now 8 weeks since sprouting. They are veging out of control. I've hacked them back two times now, and they keep growing back like crazy. The flowering tent still has about 2 weeks to go until I can move these in there. They will be 10 week old beasties by the time they go to 12/12. In hindsight, I should have started these about 4 or 5 weeks later than I did, but I was just so excited to hunt for new moms.

They look pretty hacked up after the chop, but in two weeks they'll be back and even more bushy.

It's been four days since the second chop, and everything is looking good. The hacked up plants are rebounding nicely. In one of the trays, there are three small plants: 2 x OZBPxW and 1 x WB1X. The rest of the clones of those two went to other caretakers.

Old mommas getting some sun and fresh air

The MLK4's in the raised bed are starting to veg nicely. The volunteer plant is looking super healthy, veging like crazy, with huge fan leaves...and it's showing pistils! I'm excited to see what she does. She has a thick and sturdy stalk, and all the stuff she could have possibly come out of was dankness crossed with an Afghan Kush male.

The mom hunt seedlings are 11 weeks old now. They are begging to go into a larger space. The tent is getting cleaned up and transplant should happen this week. They've been hacked back several times now.

Here's half of them. The white powder is diatomaceous earth:

The raised bed is vegging well. It's definitely not big enough for the plants. I need to rehome at least two or three of them. The volunteer plant is going crazy. I've topped it to the fourth node and I've fimmed every branch. It just keeps getting bigger.

It's been a minute since I updated this thread. I got everything transplanted into the flower tent. Some of the plants were looking sickly. They were confined to a small space for waaayyyy too long while waiting for the flower tent to become available. I'll have to trim back some and do a little rejuvenation on some for a couple of weeks before flipping to flower.

The plants in veg are coming along nicely. All except the [Crippler x Wedding Cake x Blue Mac Reg (Sun Grown Genetics)] are looking good. The CrpxWCxBM is a very fussy plant that stresses out about everything and does not recover quickly. The [Z-3 Zkittlez x Wedding Cake x Blue Mac Reg (Sun Grown Genetics)] is the most interesting so far. It has a nice tight growth structure, and the scent on stem rubs is like spicy lemon grass and anisse. I'm excited to see what those are going to do. The Kush Bomb (Bomb Seeds) has a super dank poo smell on the stem rubs. I'm excited to see how that's going to do too. I'll have to trim these back one more time to get them to the right heights and veg for a week or two before flipping.to 12/12.

I haven't updated this one in a while. It was struggling with summer temps in the garage. An inexpensive solution was finally worked out. The intake is ducted in from a register in the house now, and the lights run at night from 12am to 12pm. A peculiarity this creates is that the temps are a few degrees lower during lights on than they are during lights off.

The plants were sprouted 5 months ago. I held off flowering until a solution for temps was found. They've been topped, and topped, and topped a whole bunch of times. They are now just under 3 weeks since flip to 12/12. There were 5 males that were removed.

I kept one male separated outside to chuck pollen on some females. It is a Z-3 Zkittlez x (Wedding Cake x Blue Mac) (Sun Grown Genetics)

Everything seems to be looking okay for now, but it looks like one light bar is out on the 400w SZHLUX light in the pics. Oh well, I got that one for $80 with a discount code. I'll have to replace it with another from my @Marq1340 discount inventory!
