Search Issue

I am doing a closet grow with T5 bulbs.

I tried to do a search - in the "inside grow" forum - for "T5". My results:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.


This cannnot be be correct - there was a thread with T5 in the title. So there is some issue here.

How to search for "T5" and get results?

I'm sorry, our search engine leaves something to be desired. The indexing takes too much server power, and hurts our response time, so we are not able to use only 2 character search terms.

Other member use the large search engines like google or yahoo and search only Rollitup.org. To do that you can put your search term followed by a colon and Rollitup.org, like this [ T5:rollitup.org ]

I would think, given the search limitation, that the INDOOR GROWING forum would feature a sub-forum for T5 lights. There is already one for CFL. As the T5 seems to be popular, especially for a small personal closet grow, there would be a sub-forum available. It sure would beat the snot out of having to do a Google search for basic T5 information. IMHO.

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess we have just figured that the CFL forum would include all fluorescent lamps, including t-5, t-8, and t-12, and even those silly tubes that make a 6-inch diameter circle.

I went to the CFL subforum and all of it has to do with....CFLs. I am thinking that most see the CFL name and associate that with the curlies. Maybe if it was named "florescent",LOL.
I do have a T5 question, I'll just post it in the "indoor" section and see.
