search function

The search function doesn't seem to retrieve any posts after 7/16/08. Do you need to rebuild an index or something?

I can see only about 5% of users seem to realize there is a search function but still...

how much effort/money would it take to upgrade the search function? it would cut down on the repeated questions, imo
