I just found out my grow room had some light leaks when I lifted the lights. I have a two sliding closet doors 5x7 and a half this is probably going to effect flowering. Trying to keep my buds separete and I am going to be making seeds. Any suggestions on how to seal it?

Also do you think that if any pollen gets on a plant before it has buds will it still get seeds? I gotta wash them all off with some soap to clean the pollen off if there is a chance seeds will get in the new batch. They all probably gotta veg in there because of the weather this time of year.

Either this, or you could create another POLY door inside so that you slide open the door to reveal a poly door that you have to unzip in order to get in.

I proably need something else that is easier to do. Think im gonna go with some trash bags to block any extra light, the industrialize sized one with some white ones to reflect inside. Tapped to the cracks... I cant get it too hot in there my plants will be unhealthy.

This sounds like a serious situation if you want to have a nice unseeded harvest, which who doesn't after waiting and caring for them all that time. Sealing your space up isn't a place to skimp as it can have dire consequences as we all know. Like jondamon said create a false wall just inside the sliding doors. This could easily be accomplish with some 1x2x8 pieces of lumber and some poly. Split it where you want in the middle with another small frame wrapped in your choice of building materials. We are talking about a 50 dollar project and pretty easy even for the non-DIY. I would suggest making a door on each side for your seperate spaces that way you can slide the door one direction to get into one side and then to the other to get into that side.

Tape measure, handsaw or circular saw, nail and hammer, or drill and screw or both, stapler.

Have questions, want some design ideas? Ask away, send a PM, if you want design ideas take some measurements of the openings.

i had this same situation. i cut panda film into strips about 6" wide and taped them to the edges. on the walls and even on the edge of the front door, to cover that center slit. i bent a small piece of stiff wire and taped it when i needed the film to bend a certain way

Thinking for a long time but can’t find some good idea for your situation. The important reason is you want to Sealing sliding closet doors! The doors was sliding , if really be sealing then you don’t want to open it foever? I guess you must to give up the old sliding doors!

I was too stoned to do anything yesterday without doing a trash job. I looked at the panda film and it looks like a great product. I would get the panda film and everything but it looks like i'd probably be stuck in the same situation. On top of it I have no car today.
Im thinking I need to tape something squishy(maybe some pipe insulation) on the side of the sliding door that seals with the wall so when the door closes there is something similar to a light seal on it(then put the black plastic bag over the insulation neatly cut).

I might need to do the same thing on the bottom and the top, just not directly where it slides or it could rip the tape job out from under it or down from above it.

I had this problem with my 2x4 closet. After trying tons of ways to seal it up (which all failed, or were not perfect) I decided to go buy new doors. I bought the kit with the frame, and doors all together. I had 0 experience doing anything like this, but after a day (18hrs) I had them installed! If I had it to do over again, I would not have changed a thing!!! After installing the new doors, it took me about 10mins to put weather stripping in and put duct tape folded in on itself at the bottom.

Basically it may be easier to rig something up, but it is usually not as good so do whats best, not easiest.

All in all it cost me about $200 to install the new doors.

200$ is not an option. I already spent like 200 on something that wasn't suppose to cost a thing. Im gonna check if we have weather stripping or something similar to it that might work.
