Sealed Room With LED

4 300 w rated 150w actual give or take in a 4x3 sealed area. Carbon filter and 4 inch blower and motor control. You will see a 10 deg rise approx. Ie 70 gives you around 80 deg. 6 5 gal buckets. Bend them like hell. 3 Sour D. 14 ounces. 3 NL. 6 ounces. Bud well trimmed. Not bad for 4 months. I have air intakes from a dry basement.

I learned. Use a quality filter. I use Phresh. Vented in the house for heat in the winter. No smell even with Diesel.

Regarding ventilation, in my last place I had a small basement grow and ventilated with carbon and still needed AC. That was a mighty small area under the stairs. And I was running 600W HPS in a hood direct vented out.

This room will have 9' ceilings in a basement, and running all LED. Sure if all that extra air volume will necessarily help me considering the room is insulated.

If I were to ventilate, I would absolutely use heavy carbon filtration (Phresh)

Mine just blow's up and out, no neighbors to worry about. My dog,cat and my wife are the only ones that ever can smell it. (so far)

I think he is set in not using/trusting a carbon filter...no matter what you guys(me included) do. His plan is pretty good...seal the bitch up, crank the CO2, and cool it with AC. A plan that has worked like a charm for the best growers for year.
What we are forgetting is that you will need to vent/exhaust at some point. Technically you could leave it totally sealed the whole time...but just opening the door could let 3 weeks worth of dank smell fill the neighborhood. You should have a carbon filter ready for when you need it.
But with smell and not trusting a carbon filter being the issue, I don't know how anyone didn't mention an ozone generator?

Ozone ionizers/generators aren't recommended in a sealed GROW room, I'm still careful using them in my vented setup(installed near the exhaust). O3 is highly unstable obviously and should be treated as such.

No need to to ever recycle air if your supplementing co2 and keeping your ppms/temps in check..........it's the ultimate stealth setup.

Just buy a freezer for the summer and freeze up a few huge chunks of ice to put infront of your fan

Or one cool thing I`m always looking to do is put some led lights above the grow in their own area just have a hole to let the light go into the grow and then the heat can be vented away from the leds

I guess you`ll still get some smell from that but not as bad as if you vent from the grow room

Bigger leds have enough power that they can go the extra distance away

I`ve cut a few grow tents and put the leds on top of the tent just to get extra space before plus you can put a box or some kind over the led and rig it up to an extractor

Maybe not 100% useful for your set up but its something to think about

Too bad they don`t make lights that make it cold lol

Yes I am looking at a Dual Zone 6+15, one unit the 6000 btu will handle keeping the entire sealed room environment in check while the 15000 btu unit will maintain environment in rest of structure.

Since I I want to ensure redundancy in the sealed room particularly the flowering room where humidity needs to be kept in check consistently I will keep my the unit in there that I have now that is doing a tremendous job in keeping humidity in the 40% range. But as we know adds heat while using energy to collect water out of the air.

Thus I will be connecting a fan thermostat power switch to the fan that is exhausting out hot air from flower room back into sealed room where 6000k btu unit will handle cooling off that hot air. While the wall fan and humidifier move and remove water from the air in flower room, if the temp peaks the exhaust fan will draw air out of 6 inch duct into veg room to be cooled. This should allow for flower room to maintain peak conditions for use of CO2 with lower use of humidifier for ductless wall unit (6kBTU) will be handling humidity flower room helping to create less heat in flower for humidifier will not have to run as much to keep up and exhaust fan will not have to cycle out air when temps get to 90 as often. At least that is in theory what shall occur when I move from fresh to sealed in this setup.

I need to get the thermostat switch in next to free up speed switch to bring my filter fan back online in the veg room, gotta keep smell in check too. Currently using speed switch to set fan CFM as to not exhaust to much air out of flower room, which is draws fresh air from crawlspace currently into flower room

So far flower keep at 86F 42H lights on flower, lights off, 77F 41H.
Veg consistently at 78F 65H

Pray tell what Four 300watt listed 150 actual at 600 watt total LEDs are you running there, are there basement windows that exchange out air?

Correct me if I am wrong, ozone generators hazard to health or it that the ionizer units and what pray tell is the difference.? I need to get up to speed on that there ozone thingy mickjigger, not sure what to think of it reading different things here in this thread...

adding a stand alone dehumidifier will raise temps 5-10F degrees
that being said, an ac unit will dehumidify almost as well as a generic dehumidifier would even without the dehumidify option

but when you vent an ac, your room aint sealed no more right? lol

That is what I understand of using a mini split in a sealed room with CO2. If all goes well I can easily remove wall between rooms expand veg and build another adjacent flower connecting and moving air between ceiling and floor ducting keeping veg room in middle with mini split still in veg or easier just make entire new space flower either way it will be nice to get to a point to expand 10.5 x 10 sealed room with and additional 10 x 10 room. Now were talking a collective that meets its full lawful potential to provide for its patients.

I didn't mean ozone generator in the sealed room. I meant to use instead or in addition to a carbon filter as a way to not have to seal the room up. Everyone was trying to tell him a carbon filter would work even though multiple times he said not an option, he has tried and it wasn't good enough. Ozone and carbon filter combo equal warehouse potential.

A single ductless unit located in the veg area of a sealed room where the other half of the room is the flower room which is sealed from the veg room within the entire room and duct-ed to the veg room. The mini split cannot keep the humidity at 40% in the flower and 60% in the veg room. Also thus the humidifier does not add as much heat to the flower room for very little air is exchanged out to veg room receiving the cooler +20% higher humid air from veg when temps get to peak of CO2 thresholds in the flower and trigger thermostat switch to cycle on fan to force the exchange between the divided sections in the sealed room. The dehumidifier also acts as backup unit adding some cost to maintain a perfect zone in flower while the mini unit keeps veg at optimum humidity for vegging.

Its a nice combo with redundancy but that always adds to cost having a back up

You could build (thinking way outside the box here) a foot tall platform that fits your grow area, for which your tents sit on and can handle all the weight. With this platform, you could plug multiple ducting holes underneath while feeding the insides of the tent with the cooler, unsealed basement room(s) air, while having an exhaust or two to keep temperatures balanced and unwanted odor out.

Or you could just buy a few, strong inline/vortex fans. It doesn't sound like you have any ideal options. What's the temp in the basement year round? How big is the immediate, open surrounding space outside the tent?

EBay various models. I actually have 2 different types. 100 3w LEDs. 3 fans not 2. US ship only. White case. Intake of the room is at the bottom. Pulling air from top and exhausting in the crawl. Half basement half crawl. Air in the basement runs around 68 degrees. I see 80 to 83 depending on season. Very cold winters it may get to 65 or so.

This is the unit I am hoping to acquire and get a rebate from utility company for putting in.

If anyone has a better suggestion or knows of a better price let me know..., the 6K BTU wall unit to go into sealed room veg area, while the 15K BTU takes care of rest of rooms in structure apart from sealed room.

News Flash love the duct stat still have to use speed step switch on fan so it doesn't short cycle the fan and allow the fan to run longer slowly lowering the temp back down to set range. .It was easy to set up...

Not too shabby for just throwing the coated wire mesh down on top of these four girls and using LST to weave her existing branches into the mesh. This mind you is just two 250w drawing Onyx bloom lights over a 4x4 of 4 ladies intertwined. We started first two weeks with one light as christmas trees lost one of their lights of the four I had so I wanted to finish with two on those and did, did not care for GPW ratio. Thus the makeshift on the fly SCROG on other side of 10x5 flower they've had two lights for the last two weeks and the growth is coming about 4 weeks in, two of 1 led to start cycle and now 2 led panels to complete as you will not freaking believe this yes it is true.

After 20 days of my wait for a replacement due to inventory (stocking) issues I had to wait for replacement thus the scramble of moving lights around and not having both sides running continuously.

YES IT CAME FREAKING DOA.. I got it the replacement Tuesday, psyched to get other 4x4 going with another scrog, this time 4 nicely 8 mainifold branches to weave into mesh to get complete 4x4 plane filled in. But no my replacement onyx bloom LED panel no light from panel. BULLSHIT URGH!

Anywise I need to post this in my thread,, thought everyone would enjoy though..
