Sealed room need help with co2 and fresh air

My room is 12x12x7 1008 cubic feet. I have a mini split with auto feature so keeps temp where needed. I have a 20lb co2 tank with titan regulator and autopilot monitor. What do I set the flow meter to on the regulator? Do I barely crack open the co2 valve it open all the way? Also I’m wanting to run about 800-1000ppm co2 . 1200 would be a waste since my room temp runs 72-75f humidity Varys depending on if in veg or flower. Next question with being sealed grow room and no fresh air other than when I open the door to enter. If I set a carbon filter an inline fane on floor will that create clean air for the plants?

Set the flow meter low, like close the flow valve all the way then just open it a little, this way when your monitor calls for enrichment it doesn't come out too fast and overshoot your set point..

Does your co2 controller have a fuzzy logic setting? If so turn on and also turn the meter down low as said above. Would be very easy to overshoot your setpoint in that room and those two things will help with that.
I’d get the daytime temp up closer to 85f with them LED’s.

Not sure what the fuzzy logic setting is never heard of that. My controller is an autopilot apc8200 model. I run dwc so 85f is out of the question unfortunately. I’ll try turning everything down and see what happens and how long the tank will last . Trying to get 4 weeks out of a tank but I don’t think it will ever happen. Been getting about 14-16 days on a 20lb tank

I open the tank valve all the way and the regulator valve maybe a quarter turn. I then sit in the room for one cycle to see how high the number gets AFTER the CO2 has turned off... I have found (and this is just in a 5x5 so it might scale up I am not sure) is that it gets up to about 1500 before heading back down, and that is where it needed to be or it would just be on continuously.

Fuzzy logic I think they mean is the number you set that triggers the meter... so you have the target value at 1200 and I set my "fuzzy" number at 100 so when the meter goes 100 under 1200 it turns on and when it goes 100 over 1200 it turns off.

I was wondering if you could help me With some advice, If I am running a sealed room with air conditioner like yours with the de humidifier .. My question is do I have to exhaust the air if so any recommendations on how often and how do I keep to see O2 in the room if I have an exhaust thank you for your help

Not sure to be honest. I don’t exhaust any air personally. Other than when I open the door to go in or out. That’s why I’m thinking of getting a carbon filter that just takes the air in the room and reuses it if that makes sense.

I didn’t use it in my last run bc I was tired of spending 30 bucks a week to fill it . So I seen some people say they get 3-4 weeks out of a 20lb tank just trying to figure out how . I would be happy even just having my co2 ppm level 500-800ppm to be honest. I don’t run high temps so not point in hitting 1200 ppm and just waste it

if you are just doing that level I really dont know if it is worth it, but it should also last forever at that low of a level.

See that’s what I thought to that least a month. But without co2 and me not being in there breathing co2 sits round 105-130 avg . Outdoors it’s ambient of 400 so I would like to least get it up some.

On your APC8200 set your "Set Center" to 900ppm and your "Set Zone" to 200ppm. That should turn your output control on at 800ppm and off at 1000ppm.

"Output power is on when the CO2 concentration is below Set Center+(1/2) Set zone, and off when CO2 concentration is over Set Center-(1/2) Set zone "

As mentioned earlier, set your flow control low and your tank valve wide open.

That all said if you're running 1000ppm for 12hours a day you should be getting more like 4-6 weeks of co2 out of your 20lb tank. I'd check all your connections with a spray bottle and soapy water to ensure you've got no leaks because you should get way more than a week of use from a 20lb tank.

Now, if your VPD is off and your temps are in the low-mid 70's, save your money and drop the co2. Unless your willing to get your leaf temps to the mid 80's, I'd skip it. And while you can't run mid 80's with DWC (well technically you can but addressing the cons are a bit more time consuming/costly), you can much easier if you run RDWC (coco/soil too).

Eventually I’ll switch to autopots but I have two rooms each with two 4x8 tables. Each table has 8 plants. I bumped my room temperature to 75 leave temp is 73 . I’m going to double check numbers tomorrow. Once I get tank filled I’ll double check for leaks also. I just got 4 exhale co2 bags in the mail I’m going to put one above each table. Not sure how much good two per room will do being in a room that’s 1008 sg ft . But figured every little bit helps.

With 16 plants in a room and only low 100’s co2 levels think it might not be worst case but think there getting a little added stress they don’t need. But I could be wrong . Just trying to mimic a natural environment as much as possible.

Again, I understand your sentiments. But a co2 level of 1200ppm isn't a natural environment and in a natural environment (outdoors) cannabis plants daily have light intensity and co2 level swings.

And I feel that there are other aspects of the requirements for photosynthesis that you might want to look at before coming to the conclusion that a.) adding supplemental co2 is needed and b.) will increase your yield. Specifically your light intensity (I'm making the assumption your nutrients, water and VPD are in order).

I'm all for supplementing co2, but if you aren't addressing the other requirements for photosynthesis don't be surprised if you don't see the increase your expecting.

My vpd is in range for the current stage it’s in along with the nutrients in my buckets. Par/DLI is all in order to. Just being a sealed room with out fresh air being exchanged is my concern. That’s why I’m thinking co2 and a carbon filter and scrubber could benefit the plants. Because from my understanding a mini split doesn’t pull or exchange fresh air . Or am I wrong?
