Sealed room advice

Hey guys, just tried searching for like ten minutes but to no avail.

Anyone have some advice for sealing a couple doors and a window? One is a standard exterior door, another is an exterior window and the last is a single width car garage door.

We've been tossing around the idea of just putting up a simple frame in front of the garage door and then rocking it but were hoping for something a little easier and cheaper.

First is seal all the cracks, (with the drug growers favorite) ....''gaffer tape'', a thick 4 - 6 inch wide tape made of pvc webbing, sticks to anything, second buy in sheets of plastic sheets on a roll, white one side black the other ...got a trade name I forget???? ...all at Home Depot

the garage door should be dry walled off IMHO. Cracks can be sealed with a product like "great stuff" from home despot. I would just board up the door/windows and great stuff the cracks.

Frame it out and put a nice exterior door up. Staple up some 6 mil polyethylene 10x100 roll stuff with the string in it(doesn't rip easily and if it does rip it wont rip long) to every joist and use house wrap tape on the seams and over the staples. Use window/door caulk for the corners. Do it like they vapor seal a house is what I'm saying just with stronger poly.

I stuffed foam in the cracks to seal my garage door (the big one), then put insulation on the door itself then covered the whole thing with a tarp. Mine doesn't need to be pretty, but it needs to be easily undone when we move.

Your best bet for doing a sealed room is to build a room in your garage. A room in a room.

Turns out the garage door is already insulated so were gonna calk it shut so it can be opened again later down the road. Regular rubber weather stripping should be good for the entrance door as far as air sealing goes right?

I think its called 'panda paper'
to seal the doors and window, I'd close them. Seriously though, I panda papered my windows, and used a sheet of craft foam to seal light leaks around the door. If you're trying to make it air tight, you could use that canned insulation foam.

Depends on where I live. I might need more insulation.

Cheap moving blankets taped & stapled over the door. & 5 mil plastic.

Panda poly over the entire wall, and it adds as an additional draft barrier & garage doors arent such a great reflective surface so ya know.
Staples kinda suck so I like to use strips of wood with the plastic folded over itself. Way more durable in the long run.

If its not your property, I like to make everything reversible.. saves time on demo or you can setup way quicker and get your lights burning,

keeping heat in

that stuff u can just line the walls with and window turn into a giant cooler

to make yourself invisible

this stuff is trick u want a slight overlap so no breaks .....and do not pop the bubbles that is the main thing keeping the energy from transferring with out that u look like u are outside temps

the poly wrap is what will keep the gas in for co2 it are basically tenting the rooming (no drafts from windows this is common thing it is used for other then keeping dust contained during building when ppl are inside )

the foam is just that big sheets of foam that is used for insulation

the IR blocker is designed to hide u from flair and thermal cameras

air sealed was the main idea. we also started tossing around the idea of framing and sealing the door from the outside since it has a 4-5" area we could use in the frame.

that IR bit had me rolling until i looked at the link. thats crazy.
