Just a heads up! Attitude it seems has extended their May promo a little. I just checked their site and it's still going on as of 10:00 am E.S.T. So if you need to get some beans there you go. Their promos are all that right now, but H.S.O. is having a pretty good deal along with Emerald Triangle and a new company MediCann, Don't know much about MediCann, but their Afghan they are giving away looks yummy and you never know how good of a breeder they are until you grow it yourself. The U.F.O.'s they have are ok in my opinion the best one is the L.A. Chocolat and you get that just for making an order. The other worthwhile free goodies are at the far end of the spectrum though. If you work the breeder promos with the bank promos you can still come out ahead for the most part. Anyways just wanted to drop some info. Good luck, Good grow, Be safe, :peace: out.

Attitude had their credit card info stolen last year. Charges were being placed on peoples cards. It happens.

Never used a credit/debit card for beans. Seems like a incriminating way of payment.
If I can't trust them with cash, I wouldn't use them anymore. I don't make huge orders either!

In this case, it wasn't about credit cards. That sucks, but this was an exploit or bug or whatever, that allowed any person using google to see the history of people who ordered from SoS. You didn't even have to go to the actual site, all the pertinent info was right there in the body of googles summary for the link. Mailing address, email, sometimes actual names, phone numbers. Who knows if this could be used by law enforcement to get warrants for the addresses, if they knew about the exploit. You can bet someone with the government saw it, you could see some names on the very first page of just using "seaofseads" as a search word.

What would you rather have, someone steal your credit card, or have law enforcement use this freely available information to obtain a warrant to search your home, if you are not in a legal area? They might need more than that to obtain a warrant, but it would put you on their radar.

I usually don't chime in when there is drama or widespread panic. I think everyone has the right to decide not to deal with anyone they don't want to deal with, totally support that. I will say that I will definately order from SOS again after their site is up, I have no hesitation at all. I think it is pretty stand up that EM has been on here the whole time replying and didn't disappear when people started freaking out and flaming. That is pretty stand up in my opinion. In just this thread I have seen him personally look into problems with orders and get them solved. So that should be testament that they are a very stand up company to deal with. Just my 2cents.

The thing that irks me a bit is he doesn't seem as concerned about those whose info was compromised as he is about assuring everyone it won't happen again.

So how much value would you ascribe to his "seeming concerned" as opposed to the value of his doing something to assure it won't happen again??? Is how he feels more important than how he behaves???

EXACTLY, well said. This is the way I look at it, buying anything online is a risk, because things like this happen. Everytime you give out your info to anyone, it is a risk. Then when you add in credit card numbers, cash, addresses,ect., the risk goes up even more. Then, just for giggles, let us add in the fact that we are talking about MARIJUANA CULTIVATION, and I know a few are going to chime in and say they have their medical card and it is legal, but I bet there are quite a few on here that are doing it on the other spectrum, which is a risk all its own. We know the game, we know the risks, and we should all be comfortable with the shit that happens from point A to B. To flip out and start trashing and getting absolutely freaked out, is no way to handle this. We all know the risks, we can only take precautions and hope for the best, but if shit happens, it happens, that is a risk that we take whether we are buying a T-shirt or Seeds off the internet. SOS has been nothing but upstanding through this whole thing, there is only so much we can control in life, the rest is what it is. All the complaining is doing nothing to change the situation, that is a fact. If somebody doesn't want to order from them again, then don't, that is individual choice, but just state that opinion and we will all take it as that, fifteen posts about how "you aren't gonna order from them again, and it's all their fault" is rediculous, I promise, you are "special" and we heard your opinion the first time, lol. Well, I certainly feel better, how about you? On a lighter note, hey EM, any chance we are gonna get some "special promotions" for the mishap? maybe some free "crisis" seed packs? LOL.

Look I order stuff online all the time and my info has never been "slipped" out. If this doesn't bother you then so be it. But it shows that you probably show off your grow and just do not care. If you grow at all.

Actually, I wasn't preaching about anything, just stating my opinion, and I wasn't expecting free shit, I was making a joke about the absolute panic going on(IE: "crisis" pack). I never said it wasn't anyones fault, just saying like others, there is nothing that can be done to erase the situation from being in existence. I don't have a beef with anyone, am simply taking part in public forum, like everyone else, If my joking offending you, I sincerely apologize.
