Sea of Green Pot Size?

I've used the Search feature and read many posts regarding this same question. Some say the smaller the better so that you can fit in more plants. Some say 1 gallon or 2 so that the plants can grow larger, which means more yield (but fewer plants). In my tent, I can fit at most 32 x 1 gallon fabric pots, or 18 x 2 gallon fabric pots. Not saying I'd go with that many, but if one were to choose one of these scenarios, which do you think would be the best in terms of potential yield?

If warranted, I'm not objected to veg'ing a rooted clone for 1 week before flipping to 12/12.

The originator of SOG is BOG, and he taught start with 1 gal and depot by removing the bottom of the pot and transplanting into 3 gallon with half buried and eventually 5 gal at the end. Peace
