good idea. the ambition is good but it will be worth your time in the long run to do a more beginner-friendly setup first and get a feel for things

Why not just flower the mom with the clones? Am I missing something? Why would you ever throw a female plant out? I don't get it...You need to acquire the proper skills to do this.
1) Google is your friend!
2) If you want to grow sog and you only have one room, you need to start with a mommy first, should be easy.
3) Now you have your mommy, now your going to have to find a place for clones and learn how to clone.
4) Once you can successful take say 40 clones and have 30 or so live, repeatably........Now comes the tricky part.
5) Take your 40 clones and get rid of the mommy. I hate to say it, but do her in. You need the space.
6) Build up your sog setup, give it a test to make sure that the environment is good.
7) Now veg your clones for about a week or two.
If you can grow a good mommy, then by 2 weeks or so you'll have at least 2 good lower branches on each clone to clone again. Do this at about 2 weeks into flower.
9) Repeat.
You may have to adjust your timing here and there, but this is all doable.

Your not throwing out the female mother plant....
One of the points of SOG is to be able to have small single or double cola plants, which get good light penetration and are all similar in size.
Keeping and flowering the mother although can be useful and nice, sorta makes it hard to keep an even canopy and even light distro. One of the perks of a SOG vs. a SCROG is that all your mains/tops get nice solid light on all sides and there isn't over hanging leaves/foliage blocking light to getting to them, or etc. Everything is nice and even with a bit of spacing between so light can penetrate down the sides as well.
No one said throw the mother away, but if you dont have space to do a mother and flowering at the same time, do your mothers get ur clones, and then U can flower both, throw the mother outside to flower. ( bit late unless u live in socal to do this ) OR if you have extra space or an extra light flower it with your clones....
Also u can chop the mother into as many clones as possible and go from there.
