Scrubber Exhaust

Hey guys, was just wondering about those of you with pre-fabricated can filters, and how you've got them rigged up.

I would need to get a 4" can myself(have a 4'L 6"w DIY Scrubber, but it's a bit overkill on this), and only have a 6" in-line fan.

Yeah, may have to go with your setup, but cannot hang mine horizontally. I'm pretty sure hanging it vertically wouldn't be a problem, just a tad bit noisier. Am going shopping tonight, so I'll give a run down of the list later, and hopefully figure out what I'm gunna do.

P.S.- Hows big's your grow space and what's the size/rating of your can/fan?

build a shelf in the corner of the room and set the can on it vertically and the ventilation top side.

My space is aprox 1.2m L x 1m W x 1.9m H. My 5" fan is rated at 250m3/hour.

I don't think hanging it vertically would make any difference to the noise. But they are not heavy and are easy to hang. Good luck!

ok I am a little confused. how do those carbon scrubbers work? are you sucking in air through the scrubber or sucking air through the hose into the scrubber?

The exhaust fan sucks air through the carbon filter and then out of the grow space.

Well, got myself a CF 2600, 4" flange. Also bought a 6"-4" reducer so I can hook my duct fan too it. The rating of the fan exceeds the rating of the CF, but if I'm correct, I'll just have too replace the filter every 9 months instead of every 18. Cheaper than a new in-line fer me atm.

Had to silicone the flange on, and need too cut a bigger hole. Onced hooked up I'll let ya's know how it's goin.
