Scrogg advise please

Hey .

I'm looking to do a scrogg and I'm after some advice .

How many plants would or should I use ?

I using ...

2.4 x 1.2 x 2.0 alien tent
2 x 600 hps
6" rvk150 extraction
Rhino 8" filter
Rvk150 intake
2x 16" osc fans

Strain .tutankhamun x 8
Already topped

Is this too much or too little

Any advice welcome

8 plants topped per 600 light . the veg height after they are topped should be 8 inches no taller . 3 gallon pots . works best for me in your sog finish height is about 20 inches . put the pots close together as possible in a row 2 pots sitting next to each other so 4 rows total ( :::: ) my experience this is the best veg height for yield and light covers it perfect

I just ran my first scrog. it worked decently well, except I personally ran too many plants. under my single 600w i ran 6 plants which was too many. I went down to four plants, which i think is perfect for my 4ftx4ft pattern of light.

Good luck. From what i have been researching for my own scrog attempt that bryan is right on. I might have said 6 thinking 8 may not get all the light but sounds like he has tried!

Hi guys thanks for the response I'm going to lollipop them a few weeks before switch. I have always had a bigger area and I'm not used to such a small space . I just do it for my self rather than associate with dodgey people and put money in there pockets. I suffer with social anxiety . So this is easier for me any way enough about that . I'm thinking about 12 to 16 in total . I see a lot of controversial comment's about lollipoping some do it some say dont do it . What are your thoughts on it .cheers

The argument made for and against lollypopping are quite basic. The people who like it say that it makes your large buds bigger than all that small brush at the bottom. Others say you keep move in smaller buds than the large ones making up for it.

Personally, I lollypop a little bit just because come harvest its a waste of time to spend the majority of your time on really small buds.

Are you talking ScroG, Screen of Green, or SoG, Sea of Green?

With ScroG one or two plants will do fine. With SoG you want lots of small plants with the side branches topped so you end up with a Sea of donkey dick colas.

I like my DWC ScroG grows. Easy to get a half elbow of bud and the same in popcorn and sugar trim.

This 2.4 x 1.2 x 2.0 alien tent is metric measurements is it not? So an 8x4x7ft tent for our American friends if so. Their government still refuses to get on board with the rest of the world.

You should be able to run all 8 plants in that size tent as long as you don't let them get to big in veg.

Thanks for getting back to me . My idea is to so a ScrogG with smaller plants . I have the 8 in veg that are topped already . And they are only about 10 inches and the measurements were in metric . I'm not a feet and inches kind of person lol

I like the idea of Dwc . I heard that it's really beneficial and yeild is increased .

.but today disaster struck . Email from land Lady and she wants to come and visit ahhhhh $hoot .

Gonna have to take it all down ahhhhh

That sux dude!

Can't just jamb it all in a big box somewhere and hide that shit until she's gone? Won't hurt the plants if they have to hide in the dark for a day.
