Scrogging is meditative and much more labor intensive than other canopy management methods. You do get rewarded for your efforts though, with extra yield.
A small screen can take 30min, twice a day, at full growth rates during stretch. The awesome part is only having to raise the light, once flowering is fully under way. Forest of buds, awesome sight to see.
Make sure you can reach to all parts of the underside of your screen (test hight from res/pot top to under the screen for reaching)
Some strains do not scrog well, you end up with a large bud in the corner and popcorn all over the screen under the light.
You'll want maximum airflow through the leafy canopy, under your forest of buds. Zero slow/no air spots!
Use non-fiberous methods to tie the plant to the screen loosely. Tight ties cut off transpiration as the stems thicken up.
Measure your light footprint if possible, might want to slightly dish your screen down or up in spots, to even out the lighting coverage.
Scrog, mmmmmm, good.
