Scrog screen too full

My t5 hempy grow got a little out of hand and out grew its screen in vegetative growth. There are leaves everywhere and the plants have suddenly gotten too big. What can i do to fix this before I switch the light period to 12/12 to make sure my yield doesn't. Trim them back? a little pruning?

Id remove a good bit of growth and re-train until the screen is maybe 1/2 -- 2/3 full depending on the strain. Let it recover fully with clear signs of picking up steam again (maybe a week or longer maybe less, all depends.),, then flip to 12/12.

Thanks. i trimmed back quite a bit of it and tucked as much as i could under the screen. they are still a little big so i may end up trimming again in a week or so. The screen is still about 90%full. Like it said its way out of hand
