Scrog question

So do you think you yield more from a scrog because it's a more even canopy and more light hits the top vs top stuff that you remove, or do you think it's more because they are constantly being supported and don't have to focus on holding itself up as much? Also plants are good to scrog vs not, like hybird, indicia or sativa?

I've done a scrog before but didn't do it tight enough, also I think it would be better to have multiple scrogs like one in veg and then start another one a few weeks before flower, so it's like double supported.
