Iam looking into doing a scrog grow but am not Sure exactly how to do it. My setup im going to have is 8 plants on 4x8 tables and im going to get some pvc or some type of poles i can put on the corners then throw a net or Fencing over the plants,

I get that you have to train them through the holes but my question is how long is YOUR average time for veg and Do you keep main stem and lower branches into the holes, do you just top and super crop to keep all branches even then once most of the branches are in the holes flip to 12/12??

Its going to be very cramped on such a small table you realize with scrog you can easily do one plant 4x4. every time the growth pokes up through the hole, stick it back under so it grows sideways not tall up. I do 2 month veg. I cut off lower growth and my final cuts are 2 weeks from flower. I fim the branches.

the good thing about Scrog is that its pretty broad, you can do one plant in a 4x4 space or you could do 9. you can spend 2 months vegging one huge plant or spend less time doing smaller ones, i prefer the multiple plants so its more of a SOG/SCROG because you get the same amount of plant growth in a fraction of the time. i reckon with 8 plants per 4x8 you would do very well, thats what i would do in the space

I am doing my first SCRoG. I started with a seedling of Jack Herrer. I am on day 72 from seedling. She is about 2' square by 18" tall. The jack is the main plant I am growing in it. I think u will find that if u have to many plants u will be overwellmed. I also have a Strawbeery Cough start and an Orange Crush(Sativa dominant) seedling that is 62 days old.

Plants 4-9-2012 001.jpgView attachment 2115565So, the O.C. is in the front right corner and the Staw. is in the upper right. The PVC pipe is 3'x3' and 1' above the screen. I am going to plant the O.C. in my backyard. So the Jack is 3/4 of that screen and is pushing everything out. The nodes are about 6" above the screen. My last flower I tied the plant back and groomed her and got almost 4oz of Jack's Cleaner. I am going to have to do something because the Straw. is Indica and is growing at twice the rate the Jack is. Plus I have some yellowing on the Jack. The yellowing is on leaves under the upper canopy, so I am not sure if it is too much water or nute def. My soil is an organic compost w/steer manure(10-5-10). 600whps(89,000 lumens) 18/6. Adv. Nutes: Sensi-Grow and Bloom.

View attachment 2115571View attachment 2115572Here is a pic of the yellowing. Notice it is only the lower leaves.

Plants 4-9-2012 007.jpgThis is a wide view to get u an idea of wat i did. Hopefully u will get ideas from this and expand on it. I believe the biggest problem with SCRoG is the disposal of leftover water. These r my Veggies, but wait i have 2 grow rooms

Here's my flower

Plants 4-9-2012 008.jpgThese are Skunk(right) with the white pistills and Perma Frost(left)with the green or red pistills. I see red my wife see's green. I say that because, these were mother plants I bought from some dude off craigslist. $50 for both. So unlike Jack, remember before I put that screen over the Jack I tied main nodes down for 50 days, so I spent a lot of time paying attention to the plant. Grooming it, sorta like hair. With these mother plants I was able to pull them back a little before I put the screen on 'em. This is in a Growlab80(2'7"x2"7"x6'). 400whps 12/12.

This is the end of week 3, 26 days. The darker pistill is the Perma. Those nodes have grown 8"-12", maybe more. I am running out of room so I am having to tie down the flower to the screen. I use a velcro plant friendly tie. That I can only find at Fred Meyers or Home Depot. U can see it in the upper pics, look close. I hope this helps and gives u lots of ideas. Good luck brother and if u have any questions ask. I was a master carpenter for 25 years before my injury. I am learning a new one. This is only my second and third grow. So if any of u have suggestions, I am always willing and have open ears.

what would yeild more though.? the one plant or the 8 plants.?
Think like the amount of light you have. So optimal situation a 1000 watt light you should get 1000 grams. One plant or eight dont matter. Its the light. Thats my experience.

I know I had issues getting started too. I waited for my plant to be 12 inches tall. Started fimming. Net was 20 inches above top of pot/bucket Remember make your plant grow under the wire not through it. Daily adjusting at some points. Plant will look weird being shoved sideways under the wire but will always straiten up and try growing up and through. Just keep fighting her. For me the top growth was easy to make it grow into far away holes while lower growth I allowed to grow straight up. Thats my personal way, but with scrog everyone finds their grove. They call scrogging fimming an "art".

If you send pics I can correct stuff if you feel you need that.

I fim it yea. But remember, no fimming 2 weeks before flowering. but still take off sucker buds from under the netting. Try to clean up the under growth before flowering but stay on top of it during too. Thats what I do.

ok how often can you FIM? never done it

Topping, Pinch main node or cut it off ,Then you get 2 new shoots

FIM(fuck I Missed)you cut the shoot in the middle resulting 4 new shoots instead of 2

Do i Have it right????? Not really sure on the diffrence but just from what I understand please correct me or let me know if thats right?
