ok I have 2 rooms both are 5x7x6/ veg room will have 440w mh on 18/6 and flower room will have 400w hps on 12/12. My question is if I want to get max yield per month but do not want to exceed 20 plants all together what setup should I do? was thinking about sog doing a crop every 2 weeks with 3 plants being cloned and set up each go around. Or should i do scrog with 6 clones to start and 4 weeks veg (including clone time) then throw into flower for 8 weeks to get a crop of 6 plants each month. What do you think I should do????

id say scrog the best way to go. you gotta determine your plants by you hood foot print.

I would say go with scrog, with a bit of fine tuning you may be able to run less than 20 plants without starving yourself of smoke.

Always a bonus in this game ^^.

What you really wanna be doing imo is tree/bush , vertical grows.

I shot straight past the SOG/SCROG and went to lolli-popping. The mains were MASSIVE. You can fit 72 plants in 8" pots on a 4x8 flood tray under 2 1K lights. Each plant gave me an OZ or more (dry).
I was hung up on the plant count thing too. But I had hit a "yield barrier" in my room. I found out that the laws in my state don't really go by plant count unless you get up into the more than 100 range. I was gonna try sog, and had some girls vegging with that in mind.
I had to leave for about a month, and the wife just tended them. By the time I came back, they were pretty big, and I had to harvest the girls in the flowering room (They were ready) and shoot the clones into flower. I took off all the side branches for the next round of clones and ended up with lolli-popped plants. I've never looked back. It was quite by accident, but MAN at the results.
The largest Cola I ever grew came out of a lolli-popped plant in a 20 oz dixie cup!!!! I do use 1K lights, tho.
