Scrog Just Set To Flower - Fan Leaves?

This is my first scrog on it's 37th day under light and was switched to flowering 6 days ago. Critical Mass clones growing under a 400w HPS light in micro grow 60x60x180 SGDR tent.



Over the past 2 weeks or so I've been removing fan leaves to allow additional grows tips to come up through the scrog.

I'm expecting to see the start of flowers in the 3 to 4 days - should I carry on removing fan leaves or should it let it grow naturally now?

I see the edge of a screen really deep underneath the canopy is that right? When are you going to start tying or weaving the tops through the screen?, or let me ask. Can you give me an idea what is your goal here? Usually I am managing my plant top at this point.

First things first I am against removing fan leaves unless they are just impossible to tuck or turn out of the way and I need them out. It does have a purpose though but that purpose is never to get your branches through your screen just cut the screen and bend it back. The reason to cut leaves is if they are blocking light from a bud, which you have no buds yet, and when we remove them we would love to do that during a bud swell period such as the first 3 weeks after nice hairy buds first show. Also very important is not to hack on your plants over a period of time this causes stresses each time. Instead plan out what you need to do, set your tools and stuff out and handle all removal at one time.

I agree and don't want to argue, just pointing out that the leaves do the photosynthesis, not the buds.
