Hell yeah. Scoob was tge firat person here to actually take time to help me and not just steer me to this product or that product like a few members, also has helped me decide on what setup to run amd everythong. Now it was nothing like a few of you guys but he did take the tome out to help me with what I need help with. Hell he was damn near my first friend on this site and I only got 6. Pretty cool fellow if I do say so my self. And why would he go all that way to make a ghost account to make a thread about how he helpes ppl. Really. Im sure not even the worst troll on this site would have the time for that.

I just wanted to add my $0.02 here! I came to RIU (and a couple other forums) with a plan for my grow, asking for advice. I got a little bit of decent advice, some with backup, some not. Then Scooby hit me up. He not only told me where I might be going wrong with products, but WHY I was going wrong, and told me where to look it up if I didn't believe him LOL. On top of that, he got me a great dal with the distributor he uses. And that was honestly just the beginning!

He helped me when I got my first clones and they were little pieces of crap that didn't look like they would make it (that was my mistake for not asking him if they looked ok on my first time!). I had a hard time nursing them back to health, and Scooby was there to answer questions almost as soon as I emailed them to him! And if it was a huge problem, he would just give me a call on the phone. This guy is really kickass.

He helped me determine a good nutrient schedule, watched my grow with me, and advised me on anything I might be doing wrong along the way. All the way up to looking at my trichome pictures to tell me if they were ready or not!

I'm happy to say that I started my first harvest today, and its really all thanks to Scooby, I'm sure these plants would have died without his help. Anyway, here are some pics of my first 3 plants harvested (I have 9 more to do over the weekend!). THANK YOU SCOOBY, YOU ROCK MAN!

We went with the dyna-gro lineup. Its simple, good, and fairly full proof for a new grower like me (if you can read a meter and do basic math, you are good to go!) :P Also, they are a good deal, I still have a lot of each of the nutrients left except for the pro-tekt which I had to buy a second one :D.

Just for fun, I went and got one of my day one pictures of the clones that were in pretty bad shape. These are the same plants that are yielding awesome in those pics above!

Decided to pull the tents out of the storage garage. i've got some pretty heavy equipment coming in along with a lot of materials for construction of my greenhouse that i need to store. Starting construction on this space for the house grow in Decemeber. They guys are gonna pour the pad in 2 weeks and run the drains, electrical, and water lines while i'm gone. we'll start going vertical when i get back. going with 15" psi tested block construction filled with an insulation foam. 100% sealed. oversized wiring and breakers; all imbedded conduit; 8,000btu minisplit in the workspace; water pressure booster system; RO filter; commercial 16" deep double sinks; 2 inch floor drains in each room; 3' tall pad. talked to Chillking; getting a 5hp compact self contained chiller. I'm gonna go crazy on this one. run the whole thing on an eaton powerware 9170 12kVa battery backup system. no power outages; fully conditioned power; no voltage drops, triple the life of all electronics.

I can only hope he helps me with nutrients as much as he did with you. I'm soooo lost when it comes to that xD

Your story is fuckin' awesome though. This thread really shows how cool Scooby really is. He's the kinda guy you throw a mill to randomly if you get rich one day lmao.

Unfortunately, I've used this website exclusively for all my reading and learning until recently. I say unfortunately because someone has to muddle their way through a lot of people's bull shit and regurgitated techniques, not to mention the; he said, she said crap.

In the end, this is still a form of social media. Most people do the facebook thing. Phil does the rollitup thing. He's focused on the things he enjoys most and shares his passions with us. I've never read or been given advise from Phil that was wrong or regurgitated half truths. His advise may be over the top and pricey sometimes but that's because he's done the math and has put in the time to know what's truly best. But if he knows your budget, he's spot on every time.

I look forward to my trip to Costa Rica. I wish I could make it down sooner.

I hope it's not too late for this advise. I would never put a 1000 watt in a Lumenaire. I own 2 and recently bought a Blockbuster. The Lumenaire is cheap for a reason. It flexes and bends easily. It leaks air and requires weekly tweaking in a seal room. On the other hand, the Blockbuster is amazing. Yet, I still only use 600s in them.

Also, the Valueline fan is crap. I own the same 10" fan. I highly suggest engineering a cross brace between the mounting arms. If you don't, it will run off balance and become the loudest thing in your home. I recently bought a 10" hydrofarm, it's 100x better.

Best of luck, happy growing, and all that.

Cheers.

Just wanted to say thanks Scooby. Your knowledge of this field is truly amazing, but with 12 years experience how could it not be. Thanks for designing what I needed, guiding me through some purchases, and always being there for the newbies. This site should be thankful for people like you! I have more questions for you :)

i'm down to get the show on the road. just gimme the layout of the room (doors, windows, nooks, and their dimenions if you can). then let me know what stylr of grow you are going to do. flood tables, aeromist, etc... the more info the better. you want a veg room and flower room. do you need to keep moms and clones in your veg room?

like Sencha said, return those hoods and that fan. get a CAN HO fan or Vortex one. get sun system hoods. the blockbusters are great but so are the cool sun XL's and yield masters. youshould eb able to to return the stuff for an exchange. especially since you are upgrading a little. plus, when you are ready to order more stuff let me know...if you aren't afraid to order online then i can crush those prices for you from my distributor. just read the posts above.

Hey Scooby..What 600 hps bulbs you like? Mines due for change.
they are a little bit more expensive but i only use Hortilux bulbs for both HPS and MH. they last longer and their HPS bulb has more blue spectrum in it than any other HPS bulb on the market. some guys change their bulbs every grow or 2. I change my hortilux after 4-5000 hours cause they really don't lose much intensity. i have a light meter and i've done the test.

this is the one you want (http://www.greners.com/i/grow-lights/hid-bulbs/wattage/600-watts/hortilux-super-hps-enhanced-spectrum-bulb-600w.html). don't make the mistake of getting that Daylight Blue MH bulb that is like twice the price of their other bulbs. meant to mimmick a CMH bulb but they are unreliable in digital ballasts. also, NEVER buy a dual arc bulb. those things are dogshit. LOL
