If you are adding the 324s together to get 640, that is not quite correct. The number of diodes on the board correlates to the qb model number. qb324 = 324 diodes per board. The wattage is easier identified by the number on the driver, 320. I don't have a tester yet, to see what it is actually drawing, but my understanding, is it should be around 320w while maxed out. The drivers can be dimmed down as well, for even lower output.

It's my pleasure! Thanks for the compliments.

I use a 320W 4000K spectrum in veg and the 260W 3000K in flower. The veg light can really do some work. I keep it dimmed slightly and about 3ft from the canopy. The light can keep small seedlings as well as larger mother plants happy from the same hanging height, I'm very happy with the light. It's used to keep all of my soil plants lush and vigorous.

I use an older blurple light over a 3x3 tray in veg to give freshly rooted cuts a little time to grow before hitting the flowering tables. Since I'm staggered perpetual, I like to keep them under a lesser powered light so they don't grow so fast they throw off my timing schedule.

This was a welcomed surprise for me when I first set them up. I had the Blurple LED before them and even the QBs had a noticeable reduction in heat compared to the other LED. One or two lights really don't even need additional AC beyond what is normal ambient room temperature.

Thanks for a reliable reply.

I am mainly old school outdoor guy but have been having a lot of fun with a little tent setup using a 3000k 600w LED. I had been thinking of adding a 2nd tent, makes sense to tailor one for flower & one for veg, you confirmed my thinking. The 2nd will be a 4000k veg tent.

I have a major solar install on my house next week. Super excited, we have the highest utility rates in the U.S. I will finally be able to burn all the watts I want. :weed:

just curiou why given the efficiency do ppl still only use 3k spectrum on these? am i not understanding something in the sense i see em called full spectrum and they appear pretty white in pics. like wouldn't 4k in flower or more if they had like 10k even be more sunlike even if less effiient slightly. kinda be nice for some blues and stacking nodes or is it diff with led? there may be some basic answer to this i am clueless with led tech

You're welcome.

If you have the option to tailor the space for the stage of growth, it's a great setup.

Congrats on the solar :clap:, now you can garden inside and still have the sun grow your plants, (kind of).

More red in lower K for flower, more blue in higher K for veg. All work fine for both but there may be very slight differences.
Its not like CFL spectrum,

i wish i had my old vinyl. i had an original black sabbath paranoid album from my step dad's collection. he is not a fan. it was from his youth i was like hell yea!! idk where it is tho :(
my collection is compact disks lol they are all piled in a box i know where most of those are. old school punk like butthole surfers, dead kennedys, misfits etc are also favs of mine.
rememebr the married with children episode with anthrax lol
