Alaska sucks a big wet one to live here. To visit is one thing but don't ever live here. Hell, where you live, the women in the UK are freaky Fine as hell. Here they all look like whales wanting to feed on anything that moves.
Be careful of the temp where your planning to grow and possible location that might be used as a wind bearer if you get high cold winds like thick brush, a tight line of trees to help break down some of the cold....?
Obviously i wont be growing my good stuff outdoors. Built me a little lift tent. 3 600 w lights. 4 plants per 600w light. Gonna do 11chronic lights. And 1 super silver haze cause it sounds like a fine ass smoke. Ive actually watched a hell of alot of docs about alaska ranging from crime to wildlife and ive always thought it looks an amazing place but i wouldnt wanna live there. Way to cold

Four plants per 600watts.......nice. Just curious, but what is a "lift tent"
Sorry typo error i meant loft (attic) tent, basiclly all im doing is making a tent from space blankets and black and white plastic, now ive built the shell with the space blankets, the reason for that is so the haet doesnt escape, my friend did one in his attic with the same method and he still had snow on his roof in winter, where as in the past his roof was the only one that didnt have snow on it lol. ill send u a pic but bear in mind this is just the shell, the space blankets come out of the packets creased hence why i will go over it with black and white plastic, make sure i get it dead straight. just thinking what are my options in that space, were to put the lights? possible scrog?

Should have grabbed relfectix, could be cheaper no idea you can get some pretty big rolls at a reasonable price, might have been a bit more expensive but way easier to set up :)

Looks great though.

So this is a fact then.....? if you where to cause extra bud sights, that too many will in fact lessen the strength of the bud.....? I think I have read this or heard it somewhere, not sure. But your saying that it will make a difference .....right? If so, how can I tell when I might be over doing it? I always wondered the same about topping.
In my experience, yes, if by strength you mean density and usable flower. The only way I've done it is by: 1) asking about the strain and seeing it flower, and 2) growing one where I push very few sites, another where I 'max it out', and then moving forward with the knowledge from the two if I'm keeping the strain. My avatar photo is a G13 I grew out with just the main cola - cool, but not very practical to have a 14g bud. Now, I try to get 4 or 5 5-7g tops (finished weight), with a lot of 1-2g filler.

My blueberry will push great top buds all day long, but anything low will produce so much leaf that trimming it into useable condition takes too long and the resulting flower is pretty whispy.

Basically, you have to grow out each strain under different conditions to know when you are overdoing it.

You could do that easy IMO. 3+ gallon pot and some AK/AK cross, maybe HSO blue dream, if you pick a quality high yielder you shouldn't have a problem once you get it all dialed in. I did it in soil, you just gotta train like crazy and give em adequate veg time.

I did it with Pure AK from Female Seeds I took a clone in flower and it went nuts with branchy once it rooted :) monster cropping I think it's called, there was a couple nice ones and a couple not so nice ones out of the 6 or so seeds I grew. I got about 2oz per plant off them under CFls hardly trained at all on my first grow ever, super easy to grow and stinky plants. They take quite a bit of abuse and still put out good weight.

Once I switched to the 400watt HPS and trained the shit out of them I got 4oz or so. This was without very good light reflection. I could prolly get even more now, I got a buddy hounding me to grow it again cause you can afford to toss a bit around when you're getting fat yields :)

you make it sound easy bro, nah but im sure ill get the hang of it. i was thinking putting the seeds in coco soil and planting them in a paper cup with four slits for drainage, then when there ready to go into veg transfer them into 1.9ml baby pots. a guy mentioned it to me on here and it sound viable. dont forget im a total newb to this.

You should be able to do it! yes to the 4 plants per hood...depending...I would recommend a couple of things regarding equipment.

-Use a hood with a big footprint like a XXXL, Kahuna, or a knockoff 27", but not something with a footprint like the Yield Master II or anything that has a flat end near the bulb socket.

-You said three hoods. Have two of them spaced so that your 4 middle plants are receiving a lot of overlap (I included a picture of what I'm talking about. This setup doesn't usually have 8 on the right hand side, but there is enough room. If it usually did, the hoods would probably be spaced farther apart. On the left, you can kind of see how the yield masters just don't have the footprint to jam 4 under there....unless they were pretty dang small. Yes, an upgrade to the left hand side is in the plans! those girls cycle from the yield masters over to the xxxls at about week 3, or whenever the other side cycles out) Take advantage of the reflectivity of your corners when planning your spacing.

-Good bulbs and ballasts....I'm a fan of Digilux and Lumatek, but they are expensive. With the warranty and the lumen output though....whatever you can afford. A good ballast is going to help you out. My lumatek's are working pretty great after a lot of use, but they were expensive, comparatively.

-Daily quarter turns of the plants and a keen eye for maximizing the amount of light being received (just hand placement of leaves and arrangement of branches, you can tuck and tie yourself some great light penetration) In addition to daily quarter turns, a weekly rotation under the bulb (plant A to plant Bs spot, etc) gives everyone some time in the overlap.

You'll find that overall weight is one measure when determining quality, try to seek a good balance between all measures of quality

thats a nice set up, i already have all my equipment, just standard 600w with reflectors, 2 x 4inch carbon filters, doing them in coco soil, and i think im gonna learn how to top and maniuplate how it grows, your plants there seem to be doing nice, hopefully all been well after this grow ill be ready to start a more advanced grow

Hey guys new to this site, first of i would like to wish you all good luck with whatever present and future ventures you endevour on.

I have made the mistake of ordering barneys pinapple chunk on the site info saying it only grew between 60 and 90 cm. as i only have around 3 and half ft in height, only to read some blogs to find out that it can grow upto 6ft, and its more of sativa than an indica even though its advertised as a strong indica. this is my first grow, ive tried to perfect everything and seem to have made this stupid error. should of stuck with the vanilla kush maybe?? anyway if i could get some info experienced growing vets welcome and anybody who's ever grown barns p chunk before. is it true you can keep cutting the main stalk to prevent it growing tall??? thanks guys i look foward to your responses.
Your best bet is to induce flowering at an earlier stage, about 10 in. If the plants continue to grow taller, supercrop them, and just tie them down. Also set the dimmer on your light to 50-75% so as to not burn your plants should they get too tall.
