Scheduled power outage

Hey guys/gals,

We have a scheduled power outage this Saturday, could be upwards of 8-10 hours (probably estimated to be higher than it really will be, hopefully).

My plants are only a few weeks into veg. How long of an interruption can plants truly handle? I do have a generator which I will set up, but I'm wondering because what happens if the power randomly goes out for an hour or two here or there while I'm at work and I don't know about it? I live out of town and we have lost power for short periods of time, and the power in town remains on, so I have no idea how often if happens when I'm not home.

Additionally, will it cause any stress if I run the lights 21-3 for a day even though they are used to 18-6 for weeks? Likely not right? I know some run 24 hours but I'm wondering if the extra 3 hours would do any harm/confuse them when all they know is 18-6...

Thanks for any info and advice!

Don’t worry. No generator needed. They’ll be fine.

No chance of turning any hermies because of the confusion? Or lack of light for what could be many hours? I may run the genny anyways, or at the very least leave a LED flashlight in the tent

If it was like 3 days then I would say run the generator some but at the stage you’re at and for such a short period you’re good. In the dark or natural light from windows.
