Say goodbye to my girls

I'm about to chop down my first closet grow because at 1 month, the plants already have my place smelling a little like weed when you first walk in. That's even with a few jars of odor absorbing gel opened in the closet, and the plants aren't even in flower yet!

I'm in the process of setting up a grow cab. I guess I could continue to veg while I'm doing that, but I want to really take my time & I'm starting to get paranoid about the veg smell.

Once I have it completely set up and ready to roll, only THEN will I germinate another seed.

why do you have to kill them? you can't mask the smell in any way? i burn candles and use patcholi oil thru the house. i know they do smell, ppl say it's only when flowering but i beg to differ, they smell in veg too. i just hate to kill even a male plant LOL
i hope you can save them, they look very healthy IMHO

Look how tight the internodes are on those, don't kill them, just veg the shit out of them until you can flower them. It'd be a total waste of nice plants!

If the smell of two vegging plants is making you paranoid, dont even crack another seed till you get an air scrubber. To bad too. They look very healthy. Have a friend that can take them with the offer of half the harvest?

For like $100-150 you can get a charcoal filter and a fan to attach to it, just go to your local hydro store and tell them you need help with "smell".

Ona gel is what you want for a small space and few plants

I'll look into Ona gel once I get my cab set up. I recently returned a carbon scrubber with inline fan that I had ordered -- it's way too big & too loud for my purposes (a stealth cab grow -- 26 inches tall x 19 inches wide x 11 inches deep). I plan to make a do-it-yourself carbon filter for my exhaust (like this one: http://www.gardenscure.com/420/security/60127-ryoko-builds-diy-activated-carbon-filter.html). It's a little more stealthy than a carbon scrubber, plus I'll have the Ona Gel sitting in the cab. I'm hoping that'll work for one or two plants.

But in the meanwhile, yes -- one or two plants can indeed make a noticable smell for a fresh nose just entering the house. ...Or for even a not-so-fresh nose just coming near the grow. I have three jars of Natural Magic Odor Absorbing gel open in the closet & it still smells like weed. Makes me paranoid, so they're out.

I can only imagine what 12/12 will smell like!
