Saving mixed nutrient solution?

Hey guys i mixed up to much nutrient solution and i have a lot left over that i don't want to dump so i was wondering how should i store the solution, i did it last night and put a lid on the jug that its in but I'm wondering if that was a bad idea, i know that water aeration is important and I'm not sure if this would adversely effect the solution, so i was just curious how do you store your mixed nutrient solution?

Nvm i found my answer, and it is just seal the container and it should be good for quite a while as long as you keep it away from light...

Actually the best way is put it in the fridge.

I saved some once, or tried to. I discovered the stinkiest botlle of I dont know what ever. I wont do it again.

Rule of thumb...if it stinks throw it out, when in doubt throw it out. One mixed 5 gallon pail is woth about $2.00 in nutes for me and I will not risk it for a buck or two.

Is the reasoning behind this to inhibit microbial growth? If so that is a pretty good idea its also very dark in there most of the time, it would be the perfect place if you didn't have to let it set out to warm up...
