Saving drowned Seedling

Hello,
im kind of a newbie, so here goes my question:
I accidentally drowned a just sprouted seedling, things only 4 days old. I has went black just about a third of an inch over the soil and the leaves look completely dead. However the stem below that part looks rather good, like in perfect health. So i wanted to know if it would be wise to cut just below where the black part starts and if tht could save it?

Transplant the plant into dry soil. It will soak up the water and give oxygen back to the plant. I don’t know if it’ll come back, but that’s your best chance!

Try putting a cut bottle over the soil if your pot is reasonably small and put it in the sun to make like a greenhouse that should draw most of the water out of the soil also don't forget to cut the bottom of the bottle so you can screw to top off an allow the moisture to evaporate out the top!
