Hey guys, I thought yall might find this useful seeing how these run about $100 for a 4" Carbon Air Filter. I imagine you could build bigger filters if you needed to in the same way I dunno.

Here's the Link: How To - Carbon Filter - CANNABIS.COM Message Boards - Quality Marijuana and Hemp Information

Also look into Water Curing, save time (done in only 7 days, as opposed to 30 dry curing), no chancing the loss of your harvest to molds, stealthy (buds are completely submerged keeping odor under control), more potent, and hits smoother.

The only thing though is that (like every technique) this one has its ups and downs to. The trade off is; using this method on specialty plants such as blueberry will cause the plants to lose most of its flavour.

Ive seen it before, as I am a member at cannibas. I wish it had the total price to build. I still think it would be around 50 bucks for the supplies. you can buy a carbon srcubber for 59 bucks now. Anyone know how much it cost to build one of these?

I guess if you have a small cabinet or room this may be ok. I still think i will build my own as I want to make 2 jumbo units. I can get 25 pounds of activated charcoal for less than $60. I think I can make two units with 12.5pounds of charcoal for less than $100.
The rule of thumb I have heard is a charcoal filter capable of 200cfm for each 1000 watt light (or 8 x 8 area).
One of my friends has 2 16lb. Carbonaire (I think that is the name) filters and they work great. But he paid like $150 a piece plus shipping for them.
I wanted something heavy duty.

So basically if you have a small garden, I agree with seedlessone. You might as well just buy a premade charcoal filter and save your trouble.
HOWEVER,
if you have a whole room dedicated to growing, or just want a heavy duty filter, you can save yourself LOTS of cash by building your own.

Man I don't care where yall put that link. Do what yall want with it, it wasn't my post. I just thought you guys would find that info useful :) By all means, add it to the faqs. I think this method would be useful if you were to build several all at once if they're going for $59 now, but the cheapest I could find was $100. Either way, together, we're finding ways to grow more efficiently and with less $$$$ and hassle, and with more stealth. Most of us indoor growers don't use much more than a closet size space anyway
