Sativa

Jk Bro. I am growing a lanky sativa that I got as a freebie from nirvana. I hope it finishes strong but at day 55 from flip, it is not looking promising. Small amount of trichomes and it looks like it will take another 8 weeks to finish.

If you want to grow a pure sativa, you really need tropical sun and un-restrained growing area.
If you are attempting to grow a pure sativa indoors, you need lots of room, a strong 600W or better HID,and at least 100 days of flowering.
There are many hybrids which will supply you with nice sativa like buds with less labor.

SSH is nice, A-11 can provide zippy uplifting sativa buds, C-99 is also nice, Belladonna is also very good.
Mandala's Satori is a great hybrid which is easy and a fast finisher, wickedly potent sativa like buds in some phenos.
All of the five above strains are a great alternative to a pure sativa, unless you have the optimum environment and necessary time!

Some phenos of NLxHaze will also be able to provide spacey, uplifting, invigorating, intoxication.

Are they tall?
It is unlikely that you will find a short, fast flowering pure Sativa. They just don't usually come that way. For a pure expect 12-16 weeks flowering time and special room accommodations such as height extension and lighting adjustments. A landrace Sativa is an investment in time, at least, and a special knowledge of their characteristics. They can be very worthwhile it if you can commit to their needs.

I have a pure land raise sativa. Got a bagfull from greece and one in south east asia. The one from south east asia finishes in 6 months that smells like mango very strong. Lanky and very tall, Buds are not like the hybrid strains. Its thin buds kinda hard to trim. It was grown besides 2 runs of my super lemon haze. I gave a few seeds from one of the members here before via airmail since he said hes going to do a hybrid crossing. The one from greece is def not indica looks and grow more lke a hybrid. But fot sure both are land raise. Actually those seeds that i got from greece was being sold on a tea market. I was old that it was orinally from turkey. Like them turkey strain wich ive been growing for a couple of years now. U can def sell this commercially.

As for the the ones that i got from s.e asia i wouldnt reccommend it, the same suggest by the other guy. Youd need time and lots of space. I grew it outdoors and like i said i manage to finish 2 plants not at the same time before she finished. I sold them buds and people liked it though. I got those beans from the weed i bought from locals in the mountain regions.

*best* is subjective to the user.

What in your mind qualifies as best?
Well I consider it the best for resin production, potency, and it requires very little nutes, the yield and the flower time is a burden but if it's your smoke you shouldn't worry about that. I had a hell of a time adjusting my supersoil for it when I first started it. If you're a breeder definitely a strain to work with.
