Sativa Plant Outgrew Box....HELP!!!

I have two female plants in flower. One is a smaller indica bag seed that is growing budding perfectly in its 3rd week of flowering. The sativa plant is also in the 3rd week of budding, but just now can you see some flowers. The problem is that the plant has outgrown the grow box which is about 6 feet tall. What can I do? Where can i cut it safely so I still get a decent yield?????

if the stem isn't stiff yet tie it down.

i would also like some help with the same problem. anybody got any advice? i cant bend it anymore so any advice would really help!

Did you top it? If you topped it correctly I would think you would have to veg for like 5 months to get them that tall. I'd just bend em over and tie them down with some twine. No big deal buddy.

my plants are in flowering stage and i didnt top and when i switched to 12/12 schedule she shot up like 2 feet. now its like almost three feet in a three foot cabinet. i didnt realize how tall it was going to grow after it was in flowering. i dont want to shade my other plant. so im not sure if i should top it and cut the main cola off and let the other bud sites girth up or just keep bending it. thanks for any help you can offer.peace

I say keep bending it if you have been flower ing for long you will be taking weed from your bag by cuting the top now in flower. If you know what i mean.

You can bend it in a Z shape (sharp bends, not curves), by gently squeezing/rubbing the stem until the fibres break and the stem softens. Just fold the plant over, then do it again to fold the top back towards the light. You'll need supports to hold it up until it grows knuckles at the spots where you bent it.

You could just fold it once (so it's shaped like the number 7), and the top will turn back towards the light by itself.

i am currently having the same problem. unfortunately, i had to leave my plants for a few days and on my return the tops of the buds were burned by the light. good news - the buds are just growing around the burn spots. bad news - obviously effected yield adversely.

on to your problem -
if you can get the plant tied down. you can tie one end to the plant and anchor it down with a brick. You can wind up the twine around the brick everyday to slowly draw the plant down (saw that hint here on RIU!).

there is one other thing you can do - WARNING: I've never tried this but i saw it in one of seemorebud's videos...
Where you want the plant to bend, you can carefully press the stem and slowly break down the fibers. you want to squeeze it like 20-30 times and the stem should start bending over without breaking off and the bud can still get a bunch of light and the nutrient uptake it needs.
Like i said - i've never tried it.
