sativa bagseed 10 weeks in, 2 weeks left? look tasty

that pretty much says it, started flowering july 18, pics taken october 2, i stopped feeding a week ago, all organic, guano, ewc,s and molasses, ffof soil. lost a lot of leaves due to white flies, they're taken care of with 3 different yellow stick sheets, they all got stuck to them, worked awesome, didnt have to spray chemicals. thanks for opinons, trichs are 10% cloudy 90% clear. outdoor too. roughly 5-6 hours of direct sunlight

the next 10 days here are supposed to be sunny with 0% chance of precipitation, 75-80 degree highs, should be perfect for finishing up!

i took another look at my trichs and it seriously seems they changed over night.. they are at least 50% milky, 10% amber and 30% clear
i took samples from all over the plant, and its not an isolated thing. i really think i might be harvesting sooner..
i know in the pics the buds look very white, but i cant turn the flash off on the camera, there are quite a few amber hairs on it. probably 30-40% amber hairs..

trichs change on a daily basis you dont need a scope to tell when a plants ripe mate trichs help but certain plants will have trichs that are a certain percentage one day and a diff the next the best way to go is when she has that honey like appearance your ready ive never had a problem doing it this way never picked em to late or to early

im just really wanting this to be ready to smoke dammit! i know to be patient tho, its harder to harvest too late, but very easy to harvest too early. im going to give it at least another week and a little bump of some bloom nutes.
the brown to white hair ration is about 30:70. 30 brown hairs to 70 white ones. roughly.

also since its bagseed and sativa you might have alot of new white hairs popping up when you think she is ready to harvest even though it happens still harvest just a what i like to call a "never ending sativa"

after much reading, i recently decided that this advice is total bunk (no matter who it comes from). Trichs are VERY important to determining harvest time, but it is NOT the sole factor. you need to look at all aspects of the plant. Hair recession, calyx swelling, as well as trich and foliage color changes (by foliage i mean the yellowing out towards end of harvest).

Trichs are a VERY good way to tell, but again, use your eyes and your head. Dont just see amber and cut. if i had done that my BJ's would have come down in week 4 with a 50% amber ratio and no brown hairs, with probably half the weight.

Pure sativas and highly predominant sativa strains reach peak THC levels earlier than the standard color chart, and common incorrect beliefs, tell you they do. They will reach maximum potency when the trichomes have not yet begun to cloud so harvesting at the first sign of clouding is the best time to harvest if maximum THC levels is what you want. Sativas also have a much wider window of opportunity of harvest while at peak THC levels than indicas. With indicas days will make the difference between the best it can be and only being less that it can be while sativas have roughly a two week window of opportunity for peak harvesting.


ATTENTION: Being rather high at the time when I typed the message above my brain crossed up the peak harvest window of opportunity for sativas and indicas. Originally I said that sativas have a narrower/shorter window of opportunity and indicas a broader/longer window of opportunity. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. IF YOU READ THAT, REVERSE IN YOUR HEAD WHAT I WROTE OR MY BRAIN FART WILL CAUSE YOU PROBLEMS ONE DAY.

SORRY IF I CAUSED ANY CONFUSION .. I DID ALTER THE ABOVE INFORMATION SO AS TO NOT CAUSE ANYONE ANY PROBLEMS.

very very good lol. i have two ladies over 6' outdoors in the south (one is ind dom and the other is sat dom)and the pretty much started shooting pistils around july 17. i think im gonna chop the ind dom in the next week and the sat dom later on. But these beauties have been going a long time now.. cant wait for final cured dank bongsmilie:

ugh i cant wait for mine either.
each day the smell keeps getting more and more intense. crystals are forming like crazy now, i can see it happening rather quickly actually, within 24 hours ill take another look at they have changed dramatically. i pinch them and my fingers are very sticky, that whole back part of my yard reeks from one plant hahaha.

i've researched this a ton as well, and agree-- it's not always all about the trichs.

also the one getting part harvested is a pink indica, i will save the Sat.dom for later, i think it is some type of lemon haze, smells citrusy sweet.
