Why would you worship Satan? Serious question I won't judge I'm just curious.
As I said in my last post, [FONT=trebuchet ms,arial, helvetica]It is important to realize that the Satan that they recognize has few if any points of similarity with the historical Muslim or Christian concept of Satan. The Satanists' concept of Satan is pre-Christian, and derived from the Pagan image of power, virility, sexuality and sensuality. To almost religious Satanists, Satan is a force of nature, not a living quasi-deity. Their Satan has nothing to do with Hell, demons, pitchforks, sadistic torture, buying people's souls, demonic possession, performing miracles, human sacrifices, cannibalism, and profoundly evil deeds.

Generally most people in the world today think of the Christian concept of Satan, so it is very common for Satanists to get the why the hell do you worship Satan treatment. Now even though the Satanists concept of Satan is not the evil one you think of technically Satanists do not worship Satan as a god. In the Satanic religion it is a sin to pray as it is a sign of weakness, so since Satan is not really worshiped Satan is looked at more as symbol or idea.

I hope that clears up the confusion.

Yeah I understand that I was just wondering why would you? I'm not saying in their beliefs he's some horned evil beast I'm just wondering why would you look to him as a symbol instead of any other religion. Like does he have anything to offer? If satanists want to use satans logic then shouldn't they say fuck you Satan and look at themselves as a symbol? I mean isn't looking up to Satan a sign of weakness in itself.

Here is a good link to some information on Modern Satanism, https://camcom.ngu.edu/Science/PSYC/PSYC 3310/A Description of Satanism.pdf. Hepheastus420, the reason why Satanists don't just say fuck you Satan and worship themselves is explained in the following quote from the link I just posted.

"Satan is not a real, living entity, conscious or a physical thing that can be interacted with. It is a symbol,
something ethereal, something that basically doesn't exist except as an emotional attachment and personal
dream. Just like Buddhists do not worship Buddha, Satanists hold up Satan as an ultimate principal rather
than an object of literal worship. Satan inspires and provokes people, like all (honest) religions the
ultimate point is self-help. God believers have a different opinion on what Satan is, but their opinion is a
result of their religion. Satanism's Satan is much more eclectic and multicultural than to be defined by
Christianity or Islam.

Hopefully Lavey's. Traditional Satanists are idiots as with those who practice any of the abrahamic religions.

View attachment 1785769 I got a chuckle from this statistic.
Just saying, there's a reason god asked people to wipe out villagers. These villagers would burn people and there kids alive for punishment. They raped and stole from each other all the time. And they created their own methods of worship. Once again I'm just saying there's a reason behind it.

Life is sacred, whether its for the greater good or not killing people like that is wrong, unless the person committed murder at which point the death penalty is very appropriate. Now those villagers you speak of should not have been killed for stealing or raping, unless it was a child. There are other ways of punishing somebody other than killing them.

The part of them creating there own ways to worship is fine as long as they are not harming another human or animal. Just because I am of a different religion do I deserve to be killed by your god for the greater good of mankind, No because I am not harming any other living being by following my own beliefs.

Yes they were raping and burning the children alive. And their own way of worshiping god was by sacrificing the children by burning them. So yeah they did deserve the death penalty.

I'm not saying that. They killed animals and burned children alive for their worship.

Like I said before life is sacred. Animals and children are the purest forms of life. with that being said obviously we must eat meat to stay alive so killing animals is a must at times, but killing animals and children for personal amusement or worship is wrong. I do agree with you on that point that yes the death penalty is appropriate for that crime.
