So I've picked two spots. One spot I dug my holes about two feet down and a foot and half across. It's not clay, but the soil is very sandy with a ph of about 6.9 per the meter.
Secondly it rain this am, so each hole filled with water after a few mins. Summers are normally pretty dry, hence why I want to get this near the natural spring. Anyone experience with this? I am planning on mixing the sandy soil with some Scott's with moisture control. Hoping to get a ph of 6.5.
Lastly there some small growing trees. Will these block out too much light, or would it provide great coverage from the sky?
