well.... switching to 12/12 tonight... gonna try and keep them small and get rid of the boys as soon as possible so I have room to add more. Flowering under two 150W HPS and two 100W blackstars.
Four of them look great...(out of 5, all 5 popped at 48 hours) the fifth seems to be the ugly stepchild. Have four clearly Indica dom... the other... Sativa but very lanky, not sure what the hell is going on with it to be honest... would love to hear from anyone who has grown these as there seems to be a huge difference among the mix~
anyway.... tonight they will get their first short day... will continue posting progress if anyone shows any interest. I know a ton of people got these freebies so I hope somebody can chime in with any experience they may have had with them...

First four pics are about a week ago.... the fifth is just showing the addition of the second HPS... final flowering configuration....6th is the ugly stepchild...lol... and the last is pretty much what all the others look like...

well.... just about a week now sice switching to 12/12... everyone looks healthy... even the ugly stepchild is starting to look a little bit like a normal plant now.... but clearly Sativa and looking NOTHING like the others...cant quite tell yet if it's going to be a sausage party yet...lol... but for the most part they are staying short and bushy so I have my hopes up for at least a couple of ladies
anyway.... here's a pic of each...as always... any input always appreciated!

the middle one of course is the oddball.... but seems to be filling in nicely

just found the first male on day 13 of 12/12.... always tough pulling out the giant scissors... but it had to be done I guess. The others are showing no signs yet which I guess is a good thing. In everyone's experience do you guys tend to feel that plants will show at roughly the same time under the same conditions??? I'm hoping so!!

Day 18 of 12/12
came home from work and did some watering... found pistils on the remaining four will get some pictures up next watering session~

Got bored.... so heres a pic of each....

The first 3 are the Indica phenos.... all very similar... the fourth is the so called ugly duckling which has really started to fill in nicely but remains lanky... had to support her with some string ties... and the last is a Pineapple Express clone that a buddy gave me which has really started to take hold and is doing great... probably going to experiment with some LST with her...
anyway.... nobody's responding but hopefully somebody besides me is looking at these...lol~ I'll keep posting updates and hopefully now that things are about to get "interesting" maybe some people will chime in...

Day 22.... out for some Bud Candy and Humboldt Crystal Burst

Everything is looking great....they all have stretched nearly to 2.5X their size since switching to 12/12.... the hazey sativa one probably 3x..( no longer the ugly duckling btw.... she's looking much more respectable In the group shot you can see the kitty exploring this "temporary forest" on the kitchen floor... One major change is the smell.... these ladies are starting to get FUNKY...lol... in a good way of course Still hoping to hear any feedback, and or suggestions.... somebody must have grown out these freebies??? I'm dying to hear about your experience with them! anyway... ty as always for looking~


also threw in one, once again of the little pineapple express clone... she's responding very well to a little LST which I plan to continue once she's in the flower tent full time

I have just popped 8 of the same seeds, so i'm very much interested in your experience. There doesn't seem to be many grow reports anywhere to be found, but the story on these seeds seem to be, that they have great genetics and there might be serious winners among them. So i had to try them. Who doesn't like a winner?

How long did they take to show sex? Because i'm planning on taking clones from the females, instead of going to flower from seed.

And oh yea, i think you should LST them, if it's not to late. It did it on my previous grow and the yield just can't be beat. Plus, those sativas can overgrow anybody.

Keep the report and pics coming. Can't wait to see them budding.

finally!!!! someone who gives a shit....lol!!!!! according to my journal, I spotted the only male 12 days into 12/12.... and then all the females showed on the 18th day.... I'm guessing there are many variables which can affect this, but at least you have a guideline
As for LST, I definitely would be doing so if it werent for my limited space.... my tent is jam packed right now... so in hindsight I might have gone with 2 plants but I had no idea how many males/females I was going to get so I just topped them and let em go!
Should be posting some decent bud pics soon as they are starting to fill in slowly but surely. I'm only on day 22 so I'd say they're right on track... I heard to really look towards weeks 4 and 5 for some serious development...
anyway... stay tuned my friend... more to come!

for posting that list of possible crosses as well.... I have seen that but couldnt find it again when I went looking.... there are some amazing possibilities there!!! wish I had a clue as to what I ended up with but in the end...all that matters is the way I feel after 2 or 3 bong-rips....lol!!

Wohoo! All my seedlings are slowly crawling out of the ground. Now i just need some girls. I'm still waiting for my SSSDH to show preflowers.

The way i LST sativas is to bend them down and train them along the edge of the pot. With a little trim, all the side shoots produce top colas. That way you keep their height down and get a level canopy.

But if yours didn't show sex until 2-3 weeks into flower i am quite worried how long it will take to see preflowers. Oh, well. i'll just be patient and get my kicks watching your grow, while i dream about what i am gonna get. And week 4-5 isn't that far away.

Yeah, your absolutely rght. I would be nice to know the genetics if you find a gem. But then again, also kinda cool to have somthing rare and unknown that kicks ass. Almost mythical.

Even if no one replies your still making a grow journal, for people to find later. So keep the reports and pictures flowing. Someday someone will find this journal and get lots of needed information from it.

absolutely Batten.... I figured even if no one replied at least there would be some info for the next guy that comes along looking, just as I did. I can tell you one thing... be prepared for some heavy duty odor coming from these girls... I no longer have ANY question as to why the call it "skunk"...lol!!!
I'll probably have some new pics up on Sunday which is when I think I'll be watering again...

second one is the tall lanky girl.... and the fourth is a pic of her budsights.... seem pretty sparse... hopefully she'll fill in.... pics 1 and 3 are just random shots of the others... a little more developed I'd say but still not what I'm used to from my Indica grows. Is it normal for a Sativa strain to be noticeably slower in the flowering process??? really hope they fill in... but it's early so I'm not too worried... YET........ and the last pic is just my package that arrived from Sanniesshop today!!! really looking forward to getting those going!!! anyway... would love a pep talk from the Sativa folks... my first sativa grow so I'm a little nervous about the progress.... ty as always for looking folks~

Don't worry. Sativas take longer to flower and even to produce buds. And they don't produce as much as indcas. Atleast thats my ecperience. But you are not doing this for quantity, you are doing it for quality. Right? And that is what you get. Not a lot of people are into these old genetics anymore, but from what i've read, the high from these old school sativas is out of this world. Im hoping for a 16+ week flowering plant.

How is the branching of your girls? Do they all grow equal amounts of sidebranches?

I would have to say they are all growing about the same Batten... with the exception of the tall lanky one.... shes got a mind of her own...I topped them all very early on and she has turned literally into 2 stalks with smaller shoots just coming out everywhere... did a lil tying her down... finally a meager attempt at supercropping which did what I needed it to I guess... kind o leveled off the canopy... I honestly think this plant would be 6 feet tall by now if I just let it grow with no intervention...

and as far as flowering times go... It's very hard to tell right now of course but if I had to guess I would say these are going to go a LONG time.... but only time will tell I suppose. The bud development I have now after nearly 30 days of 12/12 is more like 7-10 days growth of the others I have grown... so Id say theyre at LEAST 2 weeks behind... possibly more
