anyone know anything about it? did a little google searching and it seems to be legit. my patient got a few seeds from a friend. we planted them yesterday. just not sure if i want to grow them and have it end up being junk. are they as good as today's newer strains? just wasted my time with a bunch of sweet tooth clones. dont get me wrong, the stuff was good but my other strains blew it out of the water. my patient really wants to grow the haze/skunk#1 and im interested myself. but again, i dont want to waste time growing junk. im told these having a long flowering time but thats ok. my main concern is potency.

thanks +rep. about roughly how long would you say the flowering cycle is?
Hmm not sure which one you have. Seedsman sells a skunk haze hybrid under their brand which I think was originally breed by Skunkman. http://www.seedsman.com/en/cannabis-seeds/seedsman/skunk-haze-seeds

But Skunkman has his own line out now but it is called Californian Skunk Haze. http://www.seedsman.com/en/cannabis-seeds/seedsman/seedsman-regular-seeds/seedsman-skunkman-range/californian-skunk-haze-regular-10-seeds

But it is hard to go by what a breeder promises because all grow rooms are different.

thanks a bunch. yeah i know what you mean. usually the flower time is also for best conditions with co2 supplementation, at least from what some old pro told me. most of my strains are indica dominant and say 6-8 weeks. but its more like 8-10 weeks to be realistic but im also not using any co2 supplement yet. otherwise the room is great. 6 bank t5 and 400w mh for veg. got a 400 and 600w hps. soon going to go with all 600s. had an electrician install 240v outlets for a dual lamp lumatek ballast which i will eventually get 2 more of. even got a hard wired industrial timer. its pretty cool, its like im running my own small business.

i didnt really understand what the seed pack said. my patient said they were supposed to be 3 skunk#1s and 3 hazes. but they were in the same pack so it dont make sense to mix them together. the label said something like "sam the skunk man mixed seeds X skunk#1/haze" my patient got it from a friend and i questioned the legitimacy until i seen the package. they were all in 1 pack so im thinking they're just a skunk/haze hybrid. the labeling doesnt follow the common format for seeds, shouldnt it be like skunk#1 X haze? they could even be bullshit but they were freebies, my patients friend wanted nothing in return. i just have a hard time believing anything unless i order myself from a known company or if i get it from only 2 different old pros who know there shit.

For your info, Sam the Skunkman is where a lot of strains like skunk #1, crap like that came from in the 70's. what you have there potentially is the holy grail, bro. These seeds are where the real jewels are found, where the stuff legends are made of. UK cheese came from sam the skunkman, lots of others. Grow each out with care, they are freebies given from seedbay, some may be just so-so, just like other strains, but the possibilities are there, bro.

I grew a bunch of these freebies but trashed them to make room for some indicas. They grew very healthy and vigorous but stretches too much for my small setup. Outdoor I know they would do great skunk is a good yeild and haze is mold resistant. Might have to try again cuz I got another ten pack of freebies

I know of a grower on other site that harvested this strain and he said it was good daytime smoke. I have a pack of freebies as well and will give them a go in the future.

I heard the seeds got mixed up by accident so that's why they are being given away as freebies. They are haze/ skunk crosses I think they say what crosses at icmag it's a pretty long list and alot of the strains they used sound dank.

I got a pack of these as freebies with my recent order from seedboutique. I definitely think they're worth growing out.

I got some of the mixed seeds X Skunk#1/haze in a Boutique order. Needed a space filler, so I germed one. Female, to my surprise, since I had Fem WW already growing. Stretchy, and "wild", but vigorous. Topped her at 18", and Flowered her at 24"tall. Supercropped her, at 40 inches.
The buds have formed somewhat sparse, though I do have a a couple of decent colas from the split. Hundreds of bud sites. Kinda anxious, since I hear, from fairly reliable sources, the quality is superior as Sativas go. I estimate about 2-3 zees from her.

yah, sam the skunkman has some fire for sure, and like some one else already said, a lot of killer skunk's and hazes of today can find their way back to sam the skunkman's gear..
not the exo cheese though, that's a pheno from a pack of sensi's skunk num one i think, but still a lot of fire to be found for sure..

Just a quick note from an article in high times - also cultivators choice is also sam the skunkmans stuff, just to clear a couple of things up, and while the uk cheese might not have come directly, I do believe that it more than likely came from him indirectly from the way things went over in the dam back in those days, thats what I was talking about, if it wasn't for him and a few others leading the way, who knows what we'd be smoking right now! here you go, pretty interesting!
Since the dawn of organized agriculture, farmers have traded quality seeds to ensure better harvests. In the United States, hippie folklore places the beginnings of American cannabis breeding for seeds in the early 1960s. Later, the smuggling organization known as the Brotherhood of Eternal Love brought cannabis seeds back from Afghanistan, Nepal and other stops on the Hippie Trail.

Around that same time, the Dutch Provos opened the Afrikaanse Druk Store in Amsterdam and began selling buds as well as distributing cannabis plants for one guilder per plant (at that time, the equivalent of 30 cents). A few years later, Wernard Bruining opened the “tea house” Mellow Yellow and jump-started the coffeeshop revolution.

It wasn’t until the early 1970’s that the first official seed company, Sam Skunkman’s Sacred Seeds, began to distribute the genetic material in Holland to grow the acclaimed hybrids, such as Haze and Skunk #1, that were winning secret harvest festivals up and down the West Coast. Then came the Seed Bank, started by the legendary breeder Nevil—the first seed company to advertise directly to the public in HIGH TIMES magazine.

The Super Sativa Seed Club (SSSC) breeder collective, located in the Hague, continued the work done by Sacred Seeds and became famous for their Durban x Thai varieties as well as the legendary William’s Wonder and M39. Other banks, such as Lowlands Seed Company (Old Ed, RIP, June 7, 2007) and Cultivator’s Choice, continued the work of these pioneers. The names may have changed over the years, but the work done back then ensured that more of our beloved cannabis strains weren’t lost forever.

And so we are proud to induct the following five companies into the HIGH TIMES Seed Bank Hall of Fame as Esteemed Seed Bank Pioneers:

Sacred Seeds/Cultivator’s Choice
The Seed Bank
Super Sativa Seed Club (SSSC)
Lowlands Weed/Seed Company
Positronics.

And now for the first inaugural entrants into the HIGH TIMES Seed Bank Hall of Fame…

Sensi Seeds/Sensi Seed Club
Out of the spent ashes of these earliest seed bank pioneers rose the almighty Sensi Seeds. Founder Ben Dronkers and sons Alan and Ravi created and manage an empire that’s extended into store ownership and a thriving hemp/flax business. Ben began collecting genetics in the 1970’s and officially began Sensi Seed Club in 1988, then partnered up with The Seed Bank in 1991 to form Sensi Seed Bank. Winners of more pot prizes than any other seed company in history and founders of the Hash Marijuana Hemp Museum, Sensi is also one of the oldest of the seed companies still doing business today. Strains such as Superskunk and Hindu Kush solidify their place in ganja genetics history - and it goes on.

I don't have pics. I'm in the 8th week of 12/12, and the Skunkman seeds are outproducing the Dinafem Super Silver I put in there, with her. She has oodles of bud sites, besides the 4 colas, from topping, and the resin is really thick.
Yes,the leaves are super skinny, as she appears to be showing the Haze side. I took a small bud to sample, cause I was uber curious. Hypnotic buzz, lemony/hash flavor, and long lasting. I am very anxious to see the end result, even if I have to wait another 6 weeks. The buds are tightening now, more so than the Super silver. The only problem I am having, is yellowing shade leaves. I use Root Organics nutes, and possibly needed more than I provided.
Moderately heavy feeder. I'll see if I can take a few pics, and post them this weekend. I normally don't publish my grow, but I think it may help some folks here.
Sorry it took so long to get back, but I have been really busy, lately.
Look for pics this weekend.

i don't know about HIS particular haze skunk, but it has the potential to be awesome. high quality seeds' haze x skunk is my current favorite strain for it's super potent & long lasting HIGH with a decent amount of psychoactivity and plenty of euphoria, creativity & motivation. it's the kind of old school buzz you won't see on many streets outside of med use states.

there are a lot of haze skunk crosses out there. some use the lemon skunk pheno and some use the cheese one two, but i bet most are at least pretty freakin' good if not awesome. the cross should only be 12.5% afghani, but as it's always haze bred to skunk and not the other way around, the ladies are going to lean towards skunk #1. HQS' HxS has some lead eye with it's buzz, but is nowhere near as couchlocking as pure skunk gets and way more psychoactive.

if you tried that gear, i'd love to see a smoke report on it as i'm keen to try other breeder's versions to see how they compare. i know that nirvana's discontinued H19 skunk looked much more IBL leaning than HQS's one. i wonder if they just moved it to their sativa seeds' line and renamed it haze #1 like they did another strain or two like eldorado.

i tell you though, a breeder would have to be a serious screw up to get schwag out of that cross and if the reports made here that he's a good breeder are true, i bet it's great stuff, particularly if he put careful parent selection into the results.

+REP for chosing quality over quantity. we need A LOT more of that! i hope to reada report on whatever gear you chose, but haze skunks can be very nice.

sorry i never got any pics. there were 2 different plant types so 1 type must have been haze(had the very slender sativa leaves), the other skunk. i was told they were feminized and they were not, i ended up with 3 males. pissed me off wasting all that time and space since i vegged them all quite big. im not sure what happen to the plants and its kind of a long story. i was growing for a medical patient at his house. i made a big mistake getting involved with him, he was very unstable mentally and i ended up not being able to stand him any longer. his son gave him the seeds so they sort of had sentimental value to him i guess you could say. but the thing is, at the time i didnt know if they were legit, and he germinated them without telling me putting us over the legal plant count limit. he tried saying how no one would know or see. i basically said i dont give a shit im doing this all strictly by law. his son would rarely visit before and now all the sudden he was visiting all the time. he would try and give me pointers and claimed he had an outdoor grow with huge plants but the thing is he was a bullshitter and i just couldnt gain any trust from him. my patient kind of took it personal being his son. the thing is i spent over $4000 at his place on equipment. i was even paying the extra electric bill. we had an ok setup in his basement where i did almost all the work. i even hired an electrician to hook up 240v outlets to run the dual 600w ballasts with an industrial timer. so i put a lot of work into the whole operation, all the money spent was all out of my pocket which i worked hard for. i tried working with this guy and he kept wanting to do things his way but hes a complete idiot and so is his son. if i cant do things my way i lose confidence in myself because i've been doing this a while with excellent results and im not risking ruining anything. so one day i had a friend stop by and we took all the expensive equipment back to my place. i told my patient out of the blue that i actually got the equipment on a front and cant afford to pay for it which was a lie. i was just trying to do it the nice way because he would have got real upset otherwise. i left him with my 2 old magnetic ballasts, a small exhaust fan, several circ fans. a cool tube hood and non cool tube hood. 1 mh and 1 hps bulb. plus probably 3-4 ounces of weed. yeah i know its over the limit and i contradicted myself from earlier but what are we supposed to do with overages besides smoke it? i also left him all the plants most which were 2-4 weeks into flower. i found out months later that the plants pretty much all burned up. im guessing he fed way too many nutrients or had the lighting too close. found out thru a friend his wife and him were all pissed at me cause i kinda disappeared after i took the equipment and they had another high electric bill they were expecting me to pitch in on. i figured fuck it hes stuck with it and they are assholes for even bringing that up after all the smoke i left them with free of charge. i mean fuck thats enough weed to pay for several electric bills and they still werent satisfied. i kinda felt bad for it but at the same time it ended a lot of stress for me. got a couple new setups now that im doing with other friends whom i know better and who actually know what they are doing. even more knowledgeable than myself so i feel very privileged and am more than happy to listen to the old pros cause they have had proven results. my previous patient and his son had no proof whatsoever. why would i want advice from them? why isnt the son just the caregiver? cause hes a fucking bum with no money and doesnt know shit. i still have yet to see him even produce a single bud let alone keep a plant alive. but probably never will cause i wont ever be around there again. i had a lot of paranoia too. the patient had to show all his friends who were mostly all weirdos that he would meet at his mental health counseling, drug counseling, and AA meetings. just cant trust these types of people. they are junkies and many of them are seriously mentally fucked up. the last thing you want crazy people especially many whom are junkies so they're probably also thieves to know is where your growing pot.

The skunk Sensi had came from Nevil when he was with them back in the day and that line came from Sam too. All of the Dutch Skunks are derived from the genetics that Sam brought over to the Dam. I have heard Sam can't breed worth a shit but I wouldn't know, all of the freebies I've gotten from Seed Boutique didn't germinate. I probably tried to sprout 50 Skunk/Haze seeds with no avail. Sam just had access to the genetics and shared them with breeders.
