Salvage a severed branch

Over the years I've had plenty branches collapse due to late flower bud weight and lack of secondary support. For the first time ever though, a branch tore off the stalk right at the node. I'm running c99 and it should be ready next week. The calyxs on some buds have swollen already. This particular branch is a little immature yet.

It's too late at this point to try to splint it. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried letting a branch mature in a glass of water? Like I said, they aren't that far from maturity so whether there is a way to keep them going or not is really just a matter of curiosity. Any insight as always is appreciated though

just toss it in a vase. Let us know how it turns out.

Not even 5 min. The branch was being weighed down. I was actually in the process of trying to tie it up when it got dropped causing the rip.

I immediately cut it off and put it in water. I know water will keep it alive. Not sure about maturing though. I've noticed that clones still will follow light which means that there is still at least some cells growth but it must be at an extremely slow rate because my clones don't seem to get any bigger until roots develop

I have broke branches to the point that there was barely a string of plant connected. I put it right back and taped it with stretchy plant tape and it healed. I don't know about after it has had air on the wound for a few minutes though.

Yea. It's amazing what these plants can recover from. On day I'll try to graft two into one just for shits and giggles.

I thought about wrapping it back to the stalk, but I just feel like so late in, it would just tie up space in my area for longer that I'd like for just one branch. I'm not even sure how long the healing process for that would be
