Stay tuned, more will follow.

Then after that they will start to go after the hobby growers. ;)

Bring them on. I never wanted to be a martyr, but if this continues, I may have no choice. Let them come after my medicine and it WILL make national news.

Yes, it is. I have always believed we aren't too far from that sad prospect. And I've prepared accordingly.

Me too, but I'm too feeble now to do what I was once up for.

When are we going to grow the fuck up in this lamebrain Country?

It just occurred to me you might live in Fresno. If so, I wasn't out to insult your hometown, it's just I've never really enjoyed being even near Fresno.
But that might be unfair. Last time, I wished I could spend some time in Hell to get out of the damn heat. :bigjoint:

Bla, Bla, Bla. It's not going to change a thing. The people that don't need/shouldn't have it are still going to get it and the people that do need it are just going to have to go a little further.

Yeah, born and raised in the central valley. Lived in Nevada for a while, but the family is all here. Trying to convince them to move, but to no avail. The good part is being so close to the coast and mountains at the same time.

Well, according to our dispensary owner's website, the end result was pretty much a thinly-veiled money grab. Big surprise.

Fines will be levied on all dispensaries that keep their doors open($100 day1, $200 day2, etc. up to $10,000/year). Seems as though they want to voice their opposition, but would rather have the cash. The fight continues on!

Well, folks should get together, have benefit rallys and concerts and just pay the $10k per. Then just rock on.

Fucking beancounters are just out to pirate some money.

Isn't Fresno the raisin capitol of the world?

I totally agree. We have occasional BBQ get-togethers and whatnot. Shouldn't be too much trouble to pay the extortion, err I mean fines. At first everyone was worried they were shutting the doors but when we found out about the $10k annual cap we just kinda chuckled. Hell, in about two months they gathered around $2-3k worth of food for the homeless and we got no benefit from that whatsoever. Imagine what we could do when it comes to keeping the doors open!

As for the raisin capitol, it's hilariously a disputed(for decades) issue in the area. Three local towns vie for the title. Fresno, Selma, and my hometown of Dinuba. The latest argument I heard happened last year when the three cities argued over what the title implies. Is it the city with the most acres of vines or the city with the most number of tons shipped out? I laugh so hard every time I hear them argue. Is that REALLY where their priorities lie? Greatest part of the whole thing is that none of the cities producing raisins have a way to pack or even market them. They all send their raisins to the Sunmaid plant in Kingsburg.

In Austin, back in the day, when political turds like this would surface, it was easy to get some good music acts to come together for a cause.

Some of the best music events were benefits...and, if everybody enjoys it, it can lead to bigger things. Traditions, even.
