Sad Blue Thai

I have three strains growing, Blue Thai, Pineapple Express II and Gigabud. They sprouted a week and a half ago. They felt pretty dry three days ago, so I flooded them, and watered them again yesterday. The water is 6.0ph. They've all had that little curve in the lower leaves.. not sure why? But last night the Blue Thai started looking pretty droopy. Thinking maybe I over watered them?

it may be time to transplant that guy from the solo cup. either way, remove from that solo cup and transplant in dryer soil. becareful, your setting up for a mold infestation. lower your nitrogen. infact i seen ff ocen forest.
just transplant and give them ff ocean forest for 4 weeks. no nutrients. thats why u paid 40 a bag for soil. they don't need it.

and next time just keep them watered enough so the soil isnt dry. remember foxfarms is strong. the whole line up is way overpowered. and get some bio root. or equivelant. and cal mag. see you in flower the rest of the story is very long.

I messed up and got ahead of myself so I don't have a temp or humidity unfortunately, but I will get them in the morning. I have them under one 180watt UFO LED and one 90watt UFO LED.

Just to clarify, you mean change the water I add to 6.5? Not soil or runoff ph?

Thanks for all your help! And your ladies look sexy!

I've been told that I should use dolomite lime as a ph buffer, is this still true with this soil? (Haven't done it yet, was planning to top dress)
How do I lower nitrogen when I'm not adding any nutrients?
To avoid the mold infestation, do I need to transplant into larger pots to solve the problem or do I need a dehumidifier to fix a larger problem?

Sorry to ask a lot of questions, I'm new at this! Thanks a lot!

I was going to say the same thing. Transplant and back off the water a bit. Keep it up they are looking great.

not a problem man. We all were new at some point. And this is what we are here for.

ok. first things first.,

when adjust ph , you need to balance the difference between what you currently are and want to be. its the medium. if your soil is 5.5 and you want to get 6.0 then adjust to 6.5 in water and our it in. a little high and it balances out.

ok next. good job not using nutes with FF OF in veg. you dont need to adjust it. just transplant into larger container and this out the waterings. When im in young veg as I call it. They use very little water. So I adjust accordingly. Lightly saturate my soil through out, and then add to the new pot when I have the correct moisture. To me it seems like, just barely damp is premium. you get to water and feed more often with out worry of over watering.

You need to repot them because , in a solo cup oxygen is low, your plant cant grow, it may even be bottomed out in that cup already. causing root rot. and its just plain ol time to do it.
if it is auto flower repot into a large container 1 step before final pot. long story auto flowers are the excetion to the rule of how many times you repot. the answer is 3 lrage incriment repots.

ok if you take any info from me take this to heart and keep it forever.
your room should be

75 degrees, 40-60% humidity at all times. you may need a heater, ac, humidifier, dehumidifier. What ever means necesssary to get the job done. And tons of GOOD light and Tons of ventilation. if you can do this , your 75% done.

ok mold is , one of three things

too cold at night
too much nitrogen
bad ventilation

small changes in environment cause lots of problems.
Best to be dead on at all times.

and last but final, I hope your not talking about those 3watt led ufo's from ebay.

I use LED as well. However. I learned my lesson. Ebay isnt for buying led grow lights. those are sucker lights. only suckers buy them.

I used Kessil H380 ufo's. I am currently doing a demo on those led's as we speak. I would not and repeat would not try to flower a cannabis plant with anything under a 350.00 led light.

If you have those cheap lights they will all die at week 4 of veg. not enough power to get a good par rating. Im not knocking on your system I dont even know what you have . but if you do. your gonna need some help with PAR on those plants. 400 watts or more. period with led. with uv and IR.

as long as you are only using happy frog soil you dont need to do anything until flowering. if you do you will likely toxify the plants. yes lime is a ph mover. only one direction, and brings another solid from the periodic table to the field again. Just use oh up and down.

buy the way. all autoflowers need very high "p" phospherous. Its theyre genetic hinge that makes them different.

If I was you , my first grow. Buy the sun leaves guano complete kit. follow the directions and finish the journey with molasses, weeks 5 to 8 in flower. It is perfect balanced, organic, and very hard to burn up plants. not to mention a full kit for a few grows is only 40.00. dont underestimate the power of bat turds.and bird turd. This is the best that nature can give. and these are natural plants. When you see the stages in flowering for the frst time. with guano, you se the full swings with out burns and problems. Then next grow you can play with fox farms, advanced hydro. ... etc..

oh fox farms has guano too. But sunleaves is way more specific for cycles.

No need to worry about nutrients just yet, FFOF is great to start plants in and CAN potentially burn seedlings a little but the plant will grow out of it. I think your problem is as simple as poor drainage/water sitting on the roots so I would definitely transplant preferably to a fabric grow pot or something with good airflow to allow roots to breath. Consider adding 1-3" of Perlite to the bottom of whatever you transplant into and mix soil with a little as well. Water when top 3" feels dry. I'm not sure how big your grow space is, but get good airflow in your enclosure and you shouldn't have to worry about mold.

I bought one of those shitty UFO LED's on ebay and successfully flowered 2 plants in a really small closet set up, combined with some CFLs. Not ultra dense buds, nothing HPS could produce, but I was pretty pleased with my ultra low budget harvest.

i have to get the pics off my phone, im in week 2 since clones went in pots. the pic in my avatar is the day they went in . in 2 weeks they grew out of a 3 gallon grow bag . and evenly grew 5". thats 4 plants and 1 kessil h380. So far tice as fast veg rate as a hid. they have since sent me another h380 to add to the room. ?I installed it today.
now these lights are not cheap for coverage area. the par is through the roof. I was hesitant at first and had similar at best results to worst in others with those ebay ufo's

now when you add the cfl to the mix. add 2 weeks to veg. very low par at full spectrum. multiple ufo's.

thats now more expensive than 1 h380 . and only draws 85 watts. and is selectable from veg to bloom in the same light.
finally the first super power led light. your gonna have to wait for the results. Im the first to document a grow. I wish I had more info but they are too new.

I have some 5 gallon smart pots prepped, but they're still pretty wet. Could I drop her into a new pot in new soil?

In regards to the lights, the smaller 90 watt I used with four CFL bulbs and got 2-3 oz off two plants in this 2X2 tent I'm in. This time starting out I added on the 180watt UFO because I knew I would need more light. How should I add to what I already have to improve my setup?

yes you can. fresh is always safe, remember they dont need to float , everything your trying to do is in small incriments.

well to answer the other question. did you like the first batch you grew? i would get two or three of those 180 ufo's . no such thing as too much light anyways.key is penetration and airflow with a good temp and humidity consistantly.

want more yeild. then get more par and UV. remember 400 watts is king. cfls work good in my kitchen for seeing the sink and stove. this is just my opinion. some people like 6 month grows and half batches for theyre time. I would love to tell you to go get 1 kessil but it isnt proven to me yet. super veg doesnt mean everything. want more quality and yeild.. then go DWC with those led's and get some big buds.

That kessil looks badass. Keep me posted when u switch to flower. I think I will hold off for now while I get other things under control but will try to buy another light right around the start of flower, one of these of your still thumbs up on it. I could go with more 180s but would rather start going higher quality lighting not to mention these seem to be smaller, which is a plus in my little setup.

So I got my Blue Thai all transplanted last night into a new pot. And that was my last one, so I'm waiting on my prepped pots to dry out so I can move the other two.
I've got at temp of 73 and 47% humidity. This is a new pic from today.. maybe getting a little better?
